WLFI Moves To Unlock 62B Tokens While Tightening Supply With Burns

World Liberty Financial has put 4.52 billion $WLFI tokens on the table for an immediate burn if a new unlock plan passes, a move tied to the founder, team, adviser and partner pool.

The same proposal would also shift 62.28 billion locked $WLFI tokens into longer vesting schedules, giving early supporters a two-year cliff followed by a two-year linear release, while the founder group would face a two-year cliff and a three-year linear vest if they opt in.

A Wider Supply Reset

The governance page says the burn would happen as soon as the vote clears, and holders who do not accept the new terms would stay locked. Early supporters would keep their full allocation under the revised schedule, but their tokens would not start unlocking until year 2 after passage.

Every advisor, institution, partner, founder, and team member locked token — all 45,238,585,647 $WLFI — is assigned to a 2-year cliff with a 3-year linear vest upon opting in, and subject to a 10% burn upon doing so.

Founders, team members, advisers and partners would face a stricter setup, with the burn applied only to their allocation and the rest released over a longer period.

Venture capitalist Tim Draper has doubled down on his long-term bitcoin outlook after revisiting the early setbacks that shaped his conviction in the asset. In an Apr. 14 post on social media platform X, he retold how his first attempt to gain exposure unfolded, why later market disruptions did not weaken his thesis, and how those experiences continue to inform his current expectations. The post centers on his early missteps and sustained confidence in $BTC’s long-term trajectory.

His post highlighted the renewed price call and drew attention back to his broader macro argument. Draper stressed:
“I have reason to believe that bitcoin will reach $250K in 18 months … eventually I expect the number to be higher as bitcoin rises and the dollar falls to inflationary pressures.”

That framing suggests he is again tying $BTC’s upside to weakening fiat purchasing power rather than short-term trading signals. The timing also matters because the new 18-month window effectively refreshes a target he had previously attached to earlier deadlines, including 2022, June 2023, and later 2025. With bitcoin still far below that threshold, the latest post functions as another reset of a forecast that

Bitcoin at a Very Critical Junction! According to the Analyst, This Level Will Determine Its Fate: Pump or Dump?

The leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin ($BTC), has been experiencing a surge in recent days, influenced by the ceasefire talks between the US and Iran.

After rising above $76,000, $BTC, as it has for a long time, encountered resistance and was rejected, falling back to the $74,000 level.

While bullish expectations continue due to $BTC’s recent movements, one analyst has warned of a major drop.

At this point, popular analyst Ali Martinez said that Bitcoin is at a critical juncture.

According to Martinez, Bitcoin has once again tested the 100-day moving average (SMA), which is considered a significant resistance level.

Sharing his latest analysis from account X, the analyst stated that for the third time in the last six months, $BTC has retested the 100-day SMA level on the daily chart as a resistance point.

He added that $BTC absolutely needs to hold the $73,000 level to sustain its upward momentum.

The analyst noted that the market failed to hold this level twice, once in October last year and again in January this year, and said that if it doesn’t break this resistance permanently this time, further declines could occur.

Martinez warned that a failure of the current retest could form a triple top pattern. This pattern could potentially send the Bitcoin price back to its all-time low of $59,000.

Conversely, if $BTC breaks this resistance and establishes a sustained position above the 100-day SMA, the price could rise to the $80,000-$84,000 range, he stated.

On-chain data indicates a growing divergence in investor stress levels across major crypto assets, with XRP and Solana showing significantly higher unrealized loss exposure compared to Bitcoin and Ethereum.
According to Glassnode, the “Relative Unrealized Loss” metric measures the proportion of market capitalization represented by tokens currently held at a loss. It provides a clearer picture of how much of the investor base is underwater relative to each asset’s size.
In simple terms, it shows how much of the market is currently “in loss” and how deep those losses are.
Recent readings highlight a clear split across top cryptocurrencies:
Bitcoin (BTC): ~11.9%
Ethereum (ETH): ~16.6%
XRP: ~31.8%
Solana (SOL): ~54.8%
While Bitcoin and Ethereum continue to show relatively moderate loss levels, XRP and especially Solana are experiencing much heavier unrealized losses.
This suggests that a larger portion of altcoin holders entered the market at higher price levels, leaving them more exposed during the recent downturn. As a result, these assets tend to carry heavier “overhang” pressure when sentiment weakens.
