According to recent market data, selling pressure from multi-year Bitcoin holders has dropped to its lowest level in 19 months, suggesting that many experienced investors are choosing to hold rather than exit their positions despite ongoing market uncertainty.

Historically, long-term holder behavior has played a major role in identifying market bottoms and recovery phases. When veteran investors reduce selling activity, it often signals growing confidence that prices are approaching fair value or that a larger recovery may be ahead. The latest decline in selling pressure is being closely watched by traders looking for signs that the worst of the correction could be nearing an end.

Adding to the discussion, some analysts are pointing to Bitcoin's historical halving cycle models. These models suggest that the market may still be progressing through a familiar post-halving pattern, with a potential cycle bottom projected later in 2026. Several cycle-based indicators have highlighted October 2026 as a possible window for a major market low if historical trends continue to repeat.

Not all analysts agree on the outlook. Some believe Bitcoin could still experience additional downside before a sustainable recovery begins, with bearish chart patterns and weakening momentum continuing to create uncertainty in the short term. Others argue that institutional adoption, ETF participation, and corporate demand may alter the traditional four-year cycle and reduce the likelihood of a deep decline.

Crypto PAC's $5.5 million Congress pick gets Maryland win, more crypto allies advanceThe leading crypto political action committee, Fairshake, often backs its favored hopefuls for the U.S. House of Representatives with ad campaigns in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, but it devoted Senate-level money — some $5.5 million — to Adrian Boafo, a Democrat who just won his party's nomination for a Maryland seat on Tuesday.

The state delegate's dominant victory records another success for the industry's super PAC and its affiliates after having notched a big primary election win with its $12 million devoted to Barry Moore's Alabama Senate bid last week.

Boafo's campaign website says he's looking to "provide responsible regulatory clarity for innovators building the next generation of financial tools," though it also included consumer-protection language often associated with crypto-resistance Democrats. Still, he has a record of pro-crypto legislative efforts in his state and favorably completed advocacy group Stand With Crypto's political questionnaire to earn that group's "A" rating.

The industry's support didn't go unnoticed. The open seat drew a massive number of Democratic candidates to replace outgoing Rep. Steny Hoyer, and Maryland's U.S. Senator Chris Van Hollen bashed the "obscene amount of big special-interest money" Boafo received in the race.

In the same state, Fairshake backed incumbent Representative April McClain Delaney for $516,000, while also contributing ad spending in other states' Tuesday primaries to Republican incumbent Representative Blake Moore in Utah and $1.3 million for one of the industry's most reliable allies in the House, Representative Ritchie Torres, a New York Democrat. All of them also won their races or were winning, with McClain Delaney in an early lead with votes still being counted.

Analysts at the crypto exchange Bitfinex revealed in the latest Bitfinex Alpha report that the current crypto market environment is being reshaped by shifting Federal Reserve expectations and inflation risks. These factors have created near-term pressure for risk assets like gold and $BTC; regardless, the floor of the latter has remained intact.

Bitcoin in Limbo

On-chain data shows that neither bulls nor bears are firmly in control. With $BTC trading within the $62,500-$72,000 consolidation zone, the market appears to be in limbo, rather than a sustained bearish phase.

Bitfinex analysts outlined two bullish tests for a potential sustained uptrend on lower timeframes, but they all failed. The tests were a sustained spot exchange-traded fund (ETF) market bid and a calming of the derivatives complex, with funding moving from neutral to negative.

In the face of the failure, there are now two opposing forces pulling at market sentiment on inflation: the potential of softening energy risks following a peace deal between the U.S. and Iran and the Fed's focus on inflationary heat rather than the immediate relief in crude prices.

Bitcoin price taces midweek squeeze that will decide whether $60,000 holdsBitcoin price faces back-to-back tests this week, with May PCE coming out on Thursday at 8:30 a.m. EDT and more than $10 billion in Bitcoin options settling on Deribit at 08:00 UTC Friday in the quarterly expiry that closes the second quarter.

Bitcoin is trading near $62,500 after a rough June that briefly pushed it under $60,000 and left it ranging between $62,000 and $67,000.

A surprise in the inflation print could land while billions in contracts are already sliding toward settlement, with the hedging that follows risking a sharper move than the data alone would produce.

We've seen this play out once already this year. Zcash miner Fortitude grabs Nasdaq route through HeartSciences deal
Zcash miner Fortitude Mining Holdings has secured a path to the public markets through an all-stock merger with HeartSciences, a transaction that will place the crypto mining company on the Nasdaq without a traditional IPO.

According to a joint announcement released Tuesday, Fortitude and HeartSciences have agreed to combine in a deal that will leave Fortitude’s management team in control of the merged company. The business is expected to operate under the Fortitude name and trade on Nasdaq under the ticker symbol TUDE, subject to regulatory approvals.

Under the terms of the transaction, existing HeartSciences shareholders will retain a minority ownership stake. HeartSciences, which develops AI-powered cardiac diagnostic technologies, will continue operating under the leadership of chief executive Andrew Simpson.

Explaining the decision, Simpson said the merger would help remove what he described as the “constant cycle of raising capital” while offering what the company believes is the most favorable outcome for shareholders.

Although the two companies operate in unrelated industries, the structure effectively gives Fortitude access to public equity markets through an already listed Nasdaq company.

For HeartSciences, the agreement provides continued exposure to a publicly traded entity while allowing its healthcare operations to remain active.

Fortitude gains public listing without an IPO

Rather than pursuing a conventional stock market debut, Fortitude is following a route that several crypto firms have previously used to reach public investors. According to the companies, the transaction is structured as a merger that will result in Fortitude taking over the public listing.
