eyes crypto perpetuals as Kalshi upends futures marketCBOE has begun evaluating a conversion of its Bitcoin and Ether futures into perpetual contracts after crypto perpetuals generated more than $8.5 billion in trading volume on Kalshi within weeks of launch.

According to a June 23 report from The Wall Street Journal, CBOE Global Markets is considering turning its continuous Bitcoin and Ether futures into perpetual futures following recent regulatory developments in the United States.

The report cited Rob Hocking, CBOE's global head of derivatives, who said the exchange is exploring the possibility after the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved cryptocurrency perpetual futures for prediction market operator Kalshi.

While Hocking did not provide a timeline for any changes, the comments place one of the largest U.S. exchange operators among a growing list of firms responding to fresh competition in the perpetual futures market.

CBOE introduced its continuous Bitcoin and Ether futures contracts in December, offering products with expirations extending as far as 10 years.

According to The Wall Street Journal, the exchange is now studying whether perpetual contracts could provide an alternative structure following the CFTC's decision to permit similar products on regulated U.S. venues.

Cboe Global Markets (CBOE) announced on June 23, 2026, the launch of Cboe Predicts, a new suite of binary options linked to the Mini-S&P 500 Index (XSP).

The first contracts, listed under symbols XSPBW and XSPBX, are now available through Interactive Brokers, marking the initial phase of distribution through retail brokerage platforms, with additional firms expected to integrate access over time.

Charles Schwab is among the brokerages preparing to offer the contracts, reflecting a broader rollout strategy centered on intermediated trading systems rather than direct exchange access.

Bitcoin price has confirmed a bearish head-and-shoulders breakdown, putting the $60,000 support zone under pressure as traders react to easing Middle East tensions and persistent institutional selling.

According to data from crypto.news, Bitcoin ($BTC) price dropped from an intraday high near $64,500 to a low of $61,990 on June 23 before stabilizing around the $62,000 area.

Bitcoin’s decline coincided with a sharp drop in oil prices after reports of progress in U.S.-Iran negotiations and a 60-day waiver allowing purchases of Iranian crude pushed Brent crude to its lowest level in nearly three months.

At the same time, a selloff in artificial intelligence and semiconductor stocks weighed on risk sentiment across global markets, while gold fell roughly 1.5% and silver slid more than 5% as traders unwound defensive positions.

Crypto derivatives markets amplified the selloff, with over $600 million in liquidations recorded in 24 hours, the bulk of which came from long positions.

Meanwhile, institutional demand remains weak after U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs entered one of their longest outflow streaks this year, removing a key source of demand that had previously helped cushion selling pressure in the spot market. Coinbase’s premium has also remained negative, suggesting U.S. investors have been selling rather than accumulating during recent sessions.

A Market Absorbing Capital Without Advancing

One of the most striking charts compares Bitcoin’s Market Cap growth versus Realized Cap growth. Realized Cap, which measures the aggregate value of coins based on their last on-chain transaction price, has increased by approximately $467 billion over the past two years. Historically, such an influx of capital would be expected to drive substantial price appreciation.

Bitcoin and Ethereum Spot ETFs Continue to Withdraw: Hundreds of Millions of Dollars Withdrawn in Four Days!


Spot Bitcoin and spot Ethereum ETFs traded in the US recorded net outflows for the fourth consecutive day due to decreased investor risk appetite. According to data shared by SoSoValue, on June 23, a total of $114 million in net outflows occurred from spot Bitcoin ETFs and $82.35 million from spot Ethereum ETFs.

The most notable data point for Bitcoin ETFs today came from BlackRock’s IBIT fund, one of the sector’s largest. IBIT experienced a net outflow of approximately $182 million in a single day, reflecting investor profit-taking and risk reduction trends. Despite this, the fund’s historical total net inflow remains at $61.7 billion.

On the other hand, the ARKB fund, a partnership between Ark Invest and 21Shares, was the strongest performer of the day with a net inflow of $30.98 million. Fidelity’s FBTC fund also stood out positively, recording inflows of $23.04 million. FBTC’s total net inflow to date has exceeded $10.5 billion.

On the Ethereum side, BlackRock’s ETHA fund was the biggest loser of the day with a net outflow of $86.07 million. In contrast, Fidelity’s FETH fund managed to attract a net inflow of $15.69 million. FETH’s total historical net inflows reached $2.12 billion, while ETHA’s total net inflows stood at $11.16 billion.

According to the data, the total net asset value of spot Bitcoin ETFs has reached $77.54 billion. This figure corresponds to approximately 6.19% of Bitcoin’s total market capitalization. The total net inflow recorded since the launch of spot Bitcoin ETFs is calculated at $53.22 billion.

The total net asset value of spot Ethereum ETFs stands at $8.96 billion. Ethereum ETFs account for 4.46% of the total market capitalization, while historical total net inflows have reached $11.03

 Потеря этого уровня считается негативным техническим сигналом, поскольку ранее он выступал ключевой зоной спроса. Если покупатели не смогут быстро вернуть ETH выше данной отметки, давление на цену может усилиться.


XRP пока удерживает основные уровни поддержки, однако индикаторы импульса начинают сигнализировать об ослаблении бычьей динамики.

 Признаки замедления роста включают:

снижение силы восходящего импульса;

ослабление активности покупателей;

ухудшение краткосрочной технической картины.


Если давление на рынке сохранится, XRP также может столкнуться с более глубокой коррекцией.
