The Senate on Monday approved a bipartisan housing package designed to make homes more affordable and reduce competition from large investment firms.

The report references several third-party forecasts. According to the article, Standard Chartered believes $XRP could reach $8 if spot $XRP ETFs attract significant investor demand and U.S. regulations become more supportive of digital assets.

The article also cites analysts on TradingView who expect $XRP to rise toward $3.30 and $8.50 after breaking out of a long-term symmetrical triangle pattern.

Other long-term models mentioned in the report are even more optimistic. They project $XRP could reach $12.04 in the medium term and climb to $26 by 2030 with ETF adoption.

X user Tom highlighted the article and argued that both Standard Chartered and Fidelity were pointing toward an $8 $XRP target. Citing a breakout and successful retest of a nine-year consolidation pattern, he expects $XRP to reach between $8 and $10 before year-end.

The article also highlights strong whale activity. It claimed wallets holding at least 1 million $XRP accumulated 1.53 billion tokens over the past six months. Accordingly, he claimed these wallets now control roughly 74.1% of $XRP’s circulating supply.

Notably, the data comes from a previous on-chain report from analytics firm Santiment. In May, The Crypto Basic reported that $XRP whale wallets holding more than 10 million $XRP reached an 8-year high. Their holdings totaled 45.83B $XRP, about 74% of the supply, the highest since May 2018.

A Chinese network suspected of exporting fentanyl precursor chemicals was also linked to a large crypto fraud operated through Japan, according to a Nikkei investigation.

The alleged scheme used Japanese domains to gain trust and deceive crypto users worldwide online.



Blockchain trails reportedly showed more than 120 transactions involving U.S.-sanctioned entities linked to drug networks.








The report said the group used Japanese internet domains and a fake “Zksync.jp” token to deceive crypto users worldwide.



Nikkei said losses reached hundreds of millions of yen, or more than $1 million. The token name appeared to copy ZKsync, a legitimate Ethereum Layer 2 network built by Matter Labs. There is no apparent connection between ZKsync and the alleged fraud.

Japan base tied to Amarvel network



The report placed Hubei Amarvel Biotech, a Wuhan-based chemical company, at the center of the network. In 2025, two Amarvel executives were cleared of a top fentanyl charge but convicted of conspiring to import a fentanyl precursor chemical and conspiring to launder money.



Nikkei said a Nagoya-based company called Firsky served as a Japanese front for the network. The report identified a Chinese national, Xia Fengzhi, as a person linked to logistics and funds from Japan. Firsky was liquidated in July 2024, and Xia’s current location remains unknown.
