Bitcoin fell below $63,000 on Tuesday, caught in a broad retreat from risk assets as investors rotated out of the technology and chip stocks that have led global markets all year. The token traded around $62,840 — down 1.1% over 24 hours and 3.5% on the week — after touching $65,076 on Monday before sliding through the session. The selling was marketwide, and for the first time since February, the dominant force steering crypto is not the Iran story but the wobbling AI trade that has carried equities to records.
The breadth of Tuesday's decline confirms this is not a Bitcoin-specific event. Ether fell 0.9% to $1,719, down 3.3% on the week. XRP dropped 1.6% to $1.12 for a 9% weekly loss. Solana lost 3.4% to $71. Dogecoin slid 6.6% over seven days. HYPE fell 4.8% on the week. Tron was the rare gainer, up 1.3% on the day and 4.6% on the week — an outlier in an otherwise uniform risk-off session.

S&P 500 futures fell 0.8% and Nasdaq 100 contracts dropped 1.3%, following a slide in megacap tech and rising bond yields that pulled US stocks lower on Monday. South Korea's KOSPI plunged more than 6% on fears that the chip rally had run too far, with Samsung and SK Hynix leading the decline. A gauge of Asian stocks fell more than 2% after a record close. Brent crude edged below $78. Gold retreated.

The company announced that it has received preliminary approval from the Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF), Luxembourg’s financial regulatory body, for a Crypto Asset Service Provider (CASP) license, which is required under the European Union’s Crypto Asset Market Regulation (MiCA).

According to a statement by Ripple, the company will obtain a full CASP license after fulfilling the remaining requirements in the licensing process. This will allow Ripple to offer crypto asset services to financial institutions and businesses in 30 countries within the European Economic Area (EEA).

The company already holds an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license in the European Union. Ripple management stated that the eventual approval of the CASP license would significantly expand their current regulatory authority and allow them to offer more comprehensive services to their customers in Europe.

With the acquisition of the full license, Ripple will be able to offer cryptocurrency and stablecoin-based payment infrastructures under one roof for banks, financial technology companies, and corporate clients. This is expected to particularly increase the company’s competitiveness in the field of cross-border payments.

The MiCA regulation aims to create a common legal framework for the crypto asset sector across the European Union. The new rules will allow companies to operate across Europe with a single license, while also aiming to increase investor protection and market transparency.

Momentum built and strengthened each time the price returned to previous support levels. Moreover, buyers successfully defended their recent breakouts into early June with a sharp reversal of trend when they rejected the price action at $0.4792.

After the sharp decline, the price moved to find support around $0.328 and then began an upward march through the resistance zone of $0.398.

Since then, in the 4-hour chart, price has been consolidating within a range as the volume declines. This implies supply exhaustion rather than aggressive distribution. At the time of writing, the AI token had hiked by 8% in the last 24 hours and was trading at $0.3713.

Meanwhile, RSI recovered to 53.2 after cooling from overbought readings above 80, suggesting momentum has reset without breaking structure. As $SKYAI presses against resistance near $0.398-$0.41, a breakout could reopen the path toward $0.4792. Yet another rejection would shift attention back to $0.34 and the critical $0.3286 support zone.

Both tokens have frequently followed similar price cycles, including major rallies, corrections, and extended consolidation periods. Analyst Bird’s latest chart, however, shows $XLM moving above its bearish structure while $XRP stays near the lower end of its range.

That difference has led traders to watch whether $XRP will eventually follow Stellar’s advance or whether the two assets are entering a period of genuine price decoupling.

$XLM Breakout Leaves $XRP Behind
The comparative chart shows $XRP and $XLM tracking one another closely through much of 2024 and 2025. Both recorded sharp gains late in 2024, reached local highs, and then moved through a prolonged decline as market momentum weakened.

Their paths began to separate near the latest lows. $XLM reacted strongly following recent DTCC-related news and moved above the descending structure that had controlled its price during the bear market.
