BTC Prophet: 20-Day 380 Million HTX Challenge

Capital market firm KGI Securities downgraded Apple stock (NASDAQ: AAPL) from a ‘buy’ rating to ‘hold’ on Monday (June 22). Previously, the firm gave AAPL an Outperform rating but has now downgraded the call. Investment advisor Rob Chang cited a valuation reality check and wrote in a note to clients that “The easy money has been made. Do not chase it here; wait for a pullback,” he said.However, the analyst upheld the price prediction of $315 and acknowledged the company’s long-term growth engine, but remains doubtful about the short-term prospects. He also stressed that Apple’s stock record-breaking rally to $312 may finally be running out of gas. This makes the leading phone maker risky, as a downturn remains on the cards. THORChain resumes trading more than a month after $10M exploitTHORChain has resumed activity after over a month of security verifications and upgrades, following a $10.7 million exploit that prompted a trading halt on May 15.

In a Tuesday X post, THORChain said it restored its network, including trading, signing, swaps and liquidity provider actions.

On Sunday, the protocol said it had confirmed the safety of most of its vaults through the KeyVerify protocol and retired the remaining legacy vaults as part of a migration to a new set of vaults. THORChain called the upgrade the “most significant milestone” in its recovery process. It also said it completed verification of every node's keyshare on Friday.

THORChain is one of the crypto industry's largest cross-chain trading protocols, enabling swaps between networks such as Bitcoin and Ethereum. The protocol has drawn scrutiny from blockchain investigators because hackers have used it to move stolen funds between blockchains.

THORChain ships security upgrades and migrates old vaults
THORChain attributed the exploit to a vulnerability in its GG20 threshold signature scheme, which is used to secure protocol vaults by distributing key control across multiple node operators. According to the protocol, the flaw allowed a malicious node operator to reconstruct a full private key through what it described as “progressive key material leakage,” enabling the theft of $10.7 million.

The protocol implemented an emergency patch on May 20 to protect the remaining vaults before releasing an upgrade on June 9, which included a fix for the exploited vulnerability. A follow-up upgrade was rolled out on June 11 with additional stability improvements and fixes to the KeyVerify protocol.

Strategy sells… and buys too!
Between 15 and 21 June, Strategy sold 2.71 million MSTR shares through its at-the-market program. They raised $335.5 million in net proceeds. The company then used part of that capital to buy 520 BTC for $34.9 million, at an average price of $67,068 per Bitcoin.As of 21 June, the company held 847,363 BTC, bought for a total of $64.1 billion at an average cost of $75,651 per coin. Its dollar reserves also rose to $1.4 billion.

Is the market very fragile?
Don’t let Strategy fool you though because the market doesn’t look like it’s recovering just yet.

At the time of writing, Bitcoin’s adjusted SOPR was still struggling around the key level of 1. Going above 1 usually means investors are selling coins at a profit while a move below 1 means losses are still being realized.On the charts though, there seemed to be no confirmation.
