The Department of Special Investigation (DSI) announced that the transnational network utilized a complex financial web to funnel money from online gambling, call center scams and cyber fraud. The move follows a series of raids in 2025 by the DSI's Technology and Cyber Crime Bureau, which dismantled three major syndicates. At the time, investigators seized more than 6,390 crypto-mining rigs. According to a local report, the operations stole nearly $29 million worth of electricity from the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), making it one of the largest state utility thefts in Thailand's recent history.
