Bitcoin fell toward $63,000 on Tuesday, caught in a broad retreat from risk as investors pulled out of the technology stocks that have led markets all year.

The token traded around $63,640, down 0.9% over 24 hours and 3.3% on the week, per CoinDesk data, after touching about $65,076 on Monday and sliding through the session. The selling was marketwide. Ether fell 0.9% to $1,719 and is also down 3.3% on the week, XRP dropped 1.6% to $1.12 for a 9% weekly loss, solana lost 3.4% to $71 and dogecoin slid 6.6% over seven days.

Former Ethereum Foundation contributors and Ether treasury firms Bitmine and Sharplink have backed a new research and development nonprofit that aims to make Ethereum ready for institutional use.

Sharplink said on Monday that the organization, Ethlabs, was formed to “ready Ethereum for the next phase of institutional adoption,” with the company pitching in with Bitmine, Ethereum co-founder Joe Lubin and other Ethereum contributors on its funding effort.

“As stablecoins, tokenized real-world assets, funds and autonomous AI commerce move on-chain, they are converging on Ethereum as the neutral, credibly permissionless settlement layer for the global economy,” Sharplink said. “Ethlabs exists to ensure the network is ready to absorb that demand at scale.”

30 days, $6.35B gone – What’s happening with Bitcoin ETFs?


The Spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) have been experiencing a prolonged period of negative performance.

Galaxy Research reports that net outflows of $6.35 billion over the past 30 days have caused U.S. spot Bitcoin [BTC] ETFs to record their worst monthly performance since their inception.

This number is the highest of all 582 rolling 30-day periods that the firm tracks, highlighting a notable exodus of institutional capital from Bitcoin investment products.

If the trend continues, such prolonged outflows could lessen the short-term demand support for Bitcoin prices. Needless to say, these outflows usually indicate waning investor sentiment, profit-taking, or a more general shift toward risk-off positioning.

Winners and losers of Bitcoin ETF

During these 30 days, BlackRock’s IBIT experienced the biggest outflows, totaling $4.51 billion, making it the loser of the month. Morgan Stanley’s MSBT, on the other hand, saw $1.25 billion in inflows after winning in these 30 days.

While this happened, Bitcoin’s price dropped from about $76K in early May to $64K at the time of publication.

As can be seen, it’s the Bitcoin price that triggered the outflows, which caused the price to move from a bullish to a bearish zone.

How other ETFs are performing?

While Bitcoin ETFs experienced a difficult period, spot Ethereum [$ETH] ETFs also saw $1.149 billion outflows. In the $ETH space too, BlackRock’s ETHA saw the largest outflows, while Fidelity’s FETH saw the largest inflows.

As for the Solana [SOL] ETF, it received $113.34 million in inflows in these 30 days.

Tron was the rare gainer, up 1.3% on the day and 4.6% on the week. Hyperliquid's HYPE fell 4.8% on the week.

The pressure came from outside crypto. A rotation out of this year's best-performing technology and chip shares sank global equities, with a gauge of Asian stocks falling more than 2% after a record close and South Korea's Kospi plunging more than 6% on fears that the rally in chipmakers had run too far.

S&P 500 futures fell 0.8% and Nasdaq 100 contracts dropped 1.3%, following a slide in megacap tech and rising bond yields that pulled US stocks lower on Monday. Brent crude edged below $78 a barrel and gold retreated.

That marks a shift in what is steering crypto. For weeks bitcoin moved on each twist of the Iran story. Now, with a peace roadmap in place and oil sliding, the dominant force is the same AI-driven tech trade that has carried equities to records, and crypto is falling as that trade wobbles.

The next test is memory chipmaker Micron's results on Wednesday, a read on whether AI spending can keep sustaining the rally that has lifted its shares more than 300% this year.

Meanwhile, Bitfire Group Holdings, a Hong Kong-listed digital asset financial services firm, pointed to a dense stretch beyond that. It flagged three macro catalysts in the next four week in an email to CoinDesk: the June US
