Franklin Templeton ETF Trust has amended its existing Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) registration framework to add two proposed exchange-traded funds (ETFs) that would combine U.S. equity exposure with a predetermined methodology for allocating bitcoin through dividend reinvestment.

The June 18 filing outlines the Franklin US Equity Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF and the Franklin US Innovation Bitcoin DRIP Index ETF.

Both products are designed to track indexes developed by VettaFi, an index provider and financial data company. The indexes begin with a 95% allocation to equities and a 5% allocation to bitcoin exposure, while within the index methodology, dividend proceeds are systematically directed into bitcoin-related investments.

For both products, the filing states:

“The underlying index includes an allocation to bitcoin that is achieved by systematically reinvesting dividends from the equity securities in the underlying index into bitcoin.”

Secret Network bridge exploited for $4.7M with ‘infinite mint’ bug
An attacker has used an “infinite mint” bug in a vulnerable smart contract on the Secret Network to create unbacked, wrapped versions of Axelar-wrapped assets, resulting in a $4.67 million exploit.

The exploit happened on June 10 but was discovered a week later on June 17, after a failed cross-chain transaction caused by an “insufficient funds” error in the drained account was detected, blockchain research firm Common Prefix reported on Friday.

The attacker redeemed the Axelar-wrapped assets (saTokens) back over legitimate channels to drain the real Axelar-wrapped assets held in escrow because the smart contract did not verify the source of the inbound transfer before minting, so “deposits forged over an attacker-controlled channel minted genuine saTokens with no assets backing them,” Common Prefix said.

It is the latest in a series of crypto protocol hacks and exploits this month, which now number at least 22, according to DeFiLlama. The Secret Network was one of the largest, behind the Humanity Protocol and Syscoin Bridge, which lost $32 million and $8 million, respectively, earlier this month.

The Secret Network is a privacy-focused, layer-1 blockchain built on the Cosmos ecosystem, and Axelar is a decentralized interoperability network that connects different blockchain ecosystems.

The Axelar-wrapped assets minted without backing in the exploit included saUSDT, saUSDC, saDAI, saWETH, saWBTC, saWBNB and sawstETH.

The attacker moved the exploited assets to the Ethereum blockchain and converted them to Ether (ETH). They then split the haul between around 30 wallets, eventually depositing the funds into exchanges including KuCoin, ChangeNow, and HitBTC, according to Common Prefix.

“If you hold Axelar-bridged saXXX tokens on Secret, please be aware their backing was affected, and your funds may be lost,” the Secret Network said on Saturday.

The remarks follow the departure of multiple senior Ethereum Foundation figures over the past five months, while some community members have raised concerns about future funding for core protocol development.

“I'm here to share my point of view as a friend of Ethereum and head of an L2 that has been scaling it for quite a few years now,” said StarkWare cofounder and Zcash founding scientist Eli Ben-Sasson.
Ben-Sasson said Ethereum has significant strengths but also faces political challenges, referencing earlier criticism StarkWare received for pursuing STARK-based scaling technology and zero-knowledge virtual machine development.

The comments come as former Ethereum Foundation contributor Trent Van Epps warned of a potential funding shortfall for core development, while investor Tom Lee stated there was zero chance of a funding crisis occurring; following the discussion the Ethereum price reaction was not disclosed.

Ben-Sasson highlighted StarkWare's work on post-quantum ZK-STARK technology for Ethereum during 2019 and 2020, noting that the approach was considered unpopular by some participants at the time.He added that he hopes future developments within the Ethereum ecosystem place greater weight on technological

The warnings come from Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan, two of the biggest forces in equity markets. Both point to the same risk, that leveraged and concentrated positions could amplify any pullback once mechanical selling begins.

Leverage Builds Inside a Crowded AI Trade

Goldman Sachs prime brokerage data has tracked leverage rising for over a year. Gross hedge fund leverage reached about 294% in June 2025, a five-year high, Reuters reported.

A note from Goldman trader Lee Coppersmith, circulated this month, said net leverage has since pushed to four-year highs.

JPMorgan strategist Nikolaos Panigirtzoglou sharpened the concern. He warned that stretched positioning in semiconductors is raising the risk of more frequent selloffs.

These value-at-risk shocks strike when volatility breaches funds’ internal limits and forces selling.

His team calculates that semiconductors’ share of global equity value is now more than six times their share of revenue. That is over double the comparable figure for the Magnificent Seven.

The concentration leaves the rally in AI stocks exposed if sentiment turns.

Why the $165 Billion Stock Selloff Matters

The near-term trigger is mechanical. JPMorgan estimates that quarter-end rebalancing could drive up to $165 billion in equity sales as June closes. Big investors are trimming stocks after a strong run.
