Avalanche [$AVAX] dipped 9.50% on the 19th of June. This bearish outlook appears to be driven by ongoing geopolitical tensions, the broader market trend, and the breakdown of a major support level.

At press time, $AVAX tanked 9.50% over the past 24 hours and was trading at $6.07. Despite the sharp price decline, the asset’s trading volume recorded a sudden spike, indicating strong participation from market participants.

This surge in activity suggests that traders are actively following the current trend, further reinforcing $AVAX’s bearish momentum.

The decline was likely influenced by the postponement of U.S.-Iran talks following fresh attacks in Lebanon, which turned the crypto market down 2.66%.

$AVAX chart signals more pain ahead

According to TradingView’s daily chart, today’s 9.50% decline has extended $AVAX’s bearish trend for a third consecutive day. In fact, this drop triggered a breakdown below the key $6.24 support level, which had acted as a major floor since the 6th of June.

Besides this, $AVAX’s broader trend appears bearish due to the persistent breakdown of key support levels at $8.95, $8.21, and now $6.24.

In addition, the price trading below the 200-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) indicates that the asset remains in a strong bearish trend, with sellers firmly in control.

Based on the current price action, if $AVAX continues its current trend and remains below the $6.24 level, it could witness further downside in the coming days.

However, a potential recovery would only become likely if the price reclaims the $6.24 level; otherwise, the bearish trend is expected to continue.

At press time, $AVAX’s Average Directional Index (ADX) stood at 54.89, well above the key threshold of 25, indicating a strong directional trend in the asset.

Less than 24 hours after CME Group announced plans to sue the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) over Bitcoin perpetual futures, U.S. regulators, the SEC and CFTC, jointly opened a public consultation seeking feedback on how derivatives products should be defined and regulated. 

This shows that even regulators acknowledge existing rules may no longer fit today’s markets.

SEC and CFTC Public Comment On Derivatives Product
On 18 June, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and CFTC jointly requested public feedback on how digital asset derivatives should be classified, regulated, and supervised.


They said they want public input on whether current definitions created under Title VII of the Dodd-Frank Act still properly reflect modern financial products and trading practices.

Meanwhile, the review covers several key areas, including the definitions of swaps, security-based swaps, mixed swaps, event-based contracts, and emerging products that have gained popularity in recent years.

SEC Chairman Paul Atkins said the agencies are trying to remove uncertainty that has persisted for years.

“Clarification is long overdue on Title VII definitional issues, including event-based products.”

Responding to Atkins, CFTC Chairman Mike Selig acknowledged that uncertainty has become a problem for both regulators and market participants.

“Today’s joint request for public comment presents an opportunity to address longstanding ambiguities within Title VII of Dodd-Frank that have stifled fair competition and responsible innovation.”

Solana’s speed, low fees, and Token-2022 compliance tools support adoption, but negative ETF flows and weak technicals show token conviction remains limited despite clear infrastructure progress among financial institutions today.
Solana’s institutional story has become strangely detached from $SOL’s price, creating one of the clearest contradictions in crypto markets. $SOL traded near $68.15, roughly 75% below its January 2025 all-time high, even as JPMorgan, Visa, PayPal and Franklin Templeton continued building on Solana infrastructure. The gap is difficult to ignore: institutions are adopting Solana’s rails while the token trades like a bear-market altcoin, leaving investors to ask whether the market is discounting execution risk or simply ignoring a longer-term capital-markets buildout.

Tiger Research framed Solana as core infrastructure for Internet Capital Markets, where issuance, trading and settlement happen on one public blockchain. The institutional examples are not small.
