The cryptocurrency market has once again been painted red over the past 24 hours, yet the meme coin SIREN has defied the bearish conditions by posting a triple-digit price increase.

Still, many industry participants remain skeptical of the token and have cautioned investors to steer clear of it.

Same Pattern, Different Day
It was just days ago when SIREN whales liquidated 670 million tokens (roughly 92% of the circulating supply), thus triggering a major 95% price collapse. Despite the massive decline, the coin headed north over the last day to around $0.11 (a 150% daily increase) after speculative buyers reportedly stepped in.

Pi Network Warns Node Operators: Upgrade Now or Lose Network Connection

Pi Network issued a reminder on Wednesday urging Mainnet node operators who have not yet upgraded to Protocol v25 to do so as soon as possible to remain connected to the network.

According to the Pi Core Team, the majority of Mainnet node operators have already completed the upgrade. The process is described as straightforward and should take only a few minutes to complete, consistent with previous protocol upgrades on the network.

How Pi Nodes Work

Pi Network nodes run on a consensus algorithm based on the Stellar Consensus Protocol rather than the proof-of-work model used by Bitcoin and Ethereum. Nodes form trusted groups called quorum slices and reach agreement on transactions based on a global trust graph built from security circles, the mutual trust connections established by Pi’s mobile users.

Reminder for all Pi Mainnet Node operators: The majority of Mainnet node operators have already successfully upgraded to Protocol v25. If you have not yet upgraded your node, please do so at your earliest convenience to remain connected to the network.
