Bitcoin Bottom Signal Emerges As Scaramucci Eyes Late 2026 Rally

Scaramucci made the comments in an interview, where he said he still likes Bitcoin and owns a substantial amount of it.

His argument centers on a market that looks weak because few retail traders appear interested. Search demand has faded, sentiment is depressed, and price action has lacked the momentum that usually brings casual buyers back into crypto.

That weakness is the point of his bullish case.

In thin markets, modest demand can have a larger effect because fewer traders are positioned for a sharp move higher. Scaramucci tied that setup to a stronger rally that could begin in late Q4 2026 or early 2027, while framing it as a cycle view rather than a fixed forecast.

He also pointed to low relative strength index conditions. That needs careful treatment, because Bitcoin’s weekly RSI may be low compared with stronger bull-market phases, but earlier bear markets, including 2018, produced deeper readings.

Zimbabwe Central Bank Unit Unveils Regulatory Framework for Crypto Firms
The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe’s Financial Intelligence Unit has issued a public mandate requiring all virtual asset service providers to formally register with the regulatory body. The June 16 directive solidifies the government’s transition toward an integrated and supervised regulatory model for crypto firms.

The regulatory push stems from the Finance Act No. 7 of 2025, passed in December 2025, which amended Section 2 of Zimbabwe’s Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime Act. This amendment formally incorporated virtual asset service providers, or VASPs, into the statutory definition of a “financial institution.”

Acting under these newly expanded powers, the Zimbabwean Minister of Finance gazetted the Money Laundering and Proceeds of Crime (Virtual Asset Service Providers Registration) Regulations on June 10, 2026, under Statutory Instrument 99 of 2026. Under the newly enacted law, any natural or legal person providing or facilitating the exchange of cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies must legally register. This also applies to entities providing custody services and financial services related to cryptocurrencies.
According to a statement released by the FIU, the primary objective of the new framework is compliance, specifically aligning Zimbabwe with international standards for anti-money laundering and countering the financing of terrorism. The FIU has been designated as the primary supervisory authority responsible for enforcing these statutory measures.

However, the FIU explicitly warned stakeholders that registration with its unit is strictly for monitoring purposes and does not grant firms a blanket commercial license.

“Registration with the FIU for AML/CFT purposes does not, in itself, constitute authorization to carry on business in Zimbabwe,” the public notice reads.

The reversal followed the Federal Reserve’s decision to keep interest rates unchanged at 3.50%–3.75%, though policymakers surprised markets by projecting additional rate hikes in 2026. The announcement arrived just hours after reports of a preliminary U.S.-Iran agreement had fueled a risk-on move across crypto and equity markets.

Capital continued flowing into edgeX’s perpetual market, reinforcing the bullish outlook. At press time, traders had added $3.1 million in fresh positions, pushing Open Interest to $18.9 million.

Funding Rate data also remained positive. CoinGlass recorded the metric at 0.0245%, suggesting most leveraged traders continued positioning for gains.

However, the Funding Rate remained relatively moderate, indicating speculation had not yet reached extreme levels. That left traders focused on whether fresh capital would continue entering the market.Chart data showed edgeX trading at a key resistance zone. The level also aligned with a supply area within its ascending channel. Price reacted lower after testing the zone, with sellers regaining short-term control.Even so, a breakout above resistance could open the path toward $0.48.

Sustained buying momentum could then push the altcoin to $0.51. A stronger rally may extend gains toward $0.58.

The Bull Bear Power indicator supported this scenario. It printed a third consecutive green bar, suggesting buying strength continued building.

Despite the rally, holder data painted a more cautious picture.

The number of holders declined from 22,570 to 18,150 over the past month. The drop suggested investors continued reducing exposure rather than accumulating.

On top of that, Spot Netflow data showed persistent selling pressure.
