BlackRock Rolls Out Bitcoin Income ETF as Demand for Covered Calls Grows

BlackRock has launched its iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF (BITA). The move aims to expand its crypto product lineup beyond direct spot BTC exposure and into yield-focused strategies.

The new product is designed to give investors exposure to Bitcoin-linked performance while also generating income through an actively managed options strategy.

The product will target an annual yield of 15-25%.

Coinbase Launches 21 Products at Once, Including Bitcoin-Backed Mortgages and AI Advisor

What Was Announced
The announcement covered every major segment of finance. Coinbase framed the release around three pillars: more assets to trade, smarter trading tools, and a broader financial services suite.

The product list includes tokenized U.S. stocks for non-U.S. customers launching next month, backed 1:1 by the underlying asset with full shareholder rights, dividend payouts, and the ability to lend shares for yield or use them as collateral. U.S. customers are excluded per regulatory disclosures.

On the lending side, Coinbase is now accepting bitcoin as collateral for home mortgages in partnership with Better, with Fannie Mae backing the structure. Customers can pledge BTC without selling it to qualify for a home purchase.

Daily RSI at 56.91 shows marginal buyer control; hourly RSI at 65.29 signals room to run before overbought conditions.

A daily close above $1.45 is needed to confirm the bullish case; failure to hold $1.40 tips the regime bearish.

On the D1, $CAKE closed at $1.43, placing it above both the 20-day EMA ($1.36) and the 50-day EMA ($1.40). Reclaiming short-term moving averages after a period of underperformance is typically the first step in structural repair. However, the 200-day EMA at $1.65 sits a full 15% above current price. That distance reveals where the PancakeSwap price actually stands in the bigger picture. The token is not in recovery mode; it remains in damage-control, still trying to build a base.

XRP Banking Ties May Be Its Biggest Advantage, Evernorth CEO Says
The CEO of Evernorth, the largest public XRP treasury company, believes XRP’s biggest advantage goes beyond technology.

Speaking on a recent podcast, Asheesh Birla said Ripple’s long-standing relationships with financial institutions and regulators could help drive institutional adoption of XRP. He argued that these connections are creating the “connective tissue” between blockchain and traditional finance.

Birla also suggested Evernorth could pursue another fundraising round to increase its XRP holdings.

Discussing XRP’s role among institutional blockchain networks such as Canton Network, Birla said critics once labeled XRP the “bank chain.”

However, he argued that working with financial institutions is necessary for blockchain to reshape global finance.

According to Birla, three ingredients are needed for mainstream blockchain adoption: strong technology, real-world connections, and regulatory clarity.

He described XRP as an efficient network for moving tokenized value. He also noted that the XRP Ledger includes a built-in decentralized exchange, a feature many investors still overlook.

Birla added that tokenization activity on the XRP Ledger is growing. He pointed to stablecoin adoption and partnerships with firms such as Franklin Templeton as signs of momentum.
