BlackRock has launched its iShares Bitcoin Premium Income ETF (BITA). The move aims to expand its crypto product lineup beyond direct spot BTC exposure and into yield-focused strategies.

The new product is designed to give investors exposure to Bitcoin-linked performance while also generating income through an actively managed options strategy.

The product will target an annual yield of 15-25%.

The delay reflects Washington’s efforts to avoid further escalating tensions with Beijing as disputes over trade, technology, and national security continue to shape U.S.-China relations.Reuters reported that more than 100 companies identified as potential national security concerns are still awaiting official placement on the Entity List. Among them are at least 75 Chinese organizations involved in advanced semiconductor development, chipmaking equipment production, and artificial intelligence technologies.DeepSeek attracted global attention after launching low-cost AI models that challenged established competitors in the artificial intelligence market. However, U.S. officials have alleged that the company supports China’s military and intelligence activities. Following their launch, spot XRP ETFs witnessed massive institutional demand, leading to multiple milestones. However, this success has not translated into improved price performance.

Spot XRP ETFs officially launched in the United States in November 2025, although some XRP futures-based products had already reached the market earlier. 

Their arrival followed a major regulatory breakthrough after Ripple finalized its settlement with the U.S. SEC around August 2025. This opened the door for several fund issuers to launch XRP-based investment products.

Canary Capital led the way with the launch of its XRPC ETF on Nasdaq on Nov. 13, 2025. The fund recorded one of the strongest ETF debuts of the year, attracting $250 million in net inflows on its first day and generating around $59 million in trading volume. 

Other issuers followed. Notably, Bitwise launched its XRP ETF on Nov. 20, 2025, while Grayscale introduced GXRP on NYSE Arca on Nov. 24, 2025. Franklin Templeton later entered the market with XRPZ/EZRP, and 21Shares launched TOXR.
