If you are only looking at the dollar price of your portfolio, you may be missing the part of the picture that is significantly shaped by money supply growth.

To the casual observer, markets look like business as usual. Bitcoin has nearly halved to $66,000 since its $126,000 October peak — easily dismissed as another brutal quadrennial crypto bear market. The S&P 500 continues to hover near record highs above 7,500 points. Nothing unusual.

But beneath the surface, a more interesting and concerning signal emerges when both prices are adjusted for the US M2 money supply — the Federal Reserve's measure of liquid assets including cash, checking and savings deposits, money market funds, and certificates of deposit. M2 measures, in effect, how many dollars exist in the system at any given time. Adjusting asset prices for M2 growth reveals what those prices look like relative to the expanding supply of money rather than in nominal terms alone.

Some observers treat Bitcoin as a high-beta barometer for dollar liquidity — an asset whose price reflects not just its own supply and demand dynamics but the broader expansion and contraction of the dollar supply. On that basis, the BTC/M2 ratio — Bitcoin's price adjusted for money supply growth — has been one of the most watched long-term signals in crypto analysis.

After a sharp climb from 2023 through 2025, the BTC/M2 ratio appears to have formed what technical analysts call a head-and-shoulders pattern — classically interpreted as a bearish reversal signal. If the pattern holds, it would suggest that Bitcoin's exponential edge over money supply growth — the dynamic that allowed it to outrun currency debasement so convincingly in prior cycles .....

Wall Street is paying up for Bitcoin miners’ AI infrastructure before most of it is built

VanEck says AI-linked miners are earning premium valuations before most leased capacity is delivered, leaving execution, dilution, debt, and tenant quality as the next market test.A megawatt leased to an AI tenant now commands a different price on Wall Street than a megawatt sitting in a Bitcoin miner's pipeline, and the distance between the two has become the central pricing question for the entire sector.

VanEck's latest framework for valuing publicly traded miners shows that companies with signed AI and high-performance computing leases trade at more than 10 times gross energy output, while miners with little or no contracted capacity trade at roughly 2 to 6 times that metric.

Investors have started treating leased megawatts as a distinct, more valuable asset class than mined Bitcoin or unsold power capacity.

Standard Chartered Sees UNI at $100, Ethereum at $40K and Bitcoin at $500K by 2030
Standard Chartered has issued ambitious long-term forecasts for the crypto market as Bitcoin recovers from earlier dips.

The bank expects major gains for Uniswap’s UNI token, Ethereum, and Bitcoin before the end of the decade. Its outlook is based on the belief that decentralized finance (DeFi) and tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) will become major drivers of crypto adoption in the coming years.

The forecasts call for UNI to rise from around $3.60 to $100 by 2030. Ethereum is projected to climb from about $1,700 to $40,000, while Bitcoin could reach $500,000.

Crypto content creator Altcoin Daily reacted to the report, saying: “You aren’t bullish ENOUGH.”
According to the bank, UNI could surge almost 40-fold from current levels and reach $100 by the end of 2030.

In a report led by Geoffrey Kendrick, Standard Chartered’s Global Head of Digital Assets Research, the bank said Uniswap will benefit from the expansion of tokenized assets within DeFi.

The report estimates that tokenized assets actively used in DeFi could grow from roughly $340 billion today to about $4 trillion by the end of 2028. That would represent a 37-fold increase.

Standard Chartered also expects the share of tokenized assets used in DeFi to rise sharply. It projects this figure will increase from about 3.5% today to 30% by 2030.

As a result, the bank believes total value locked (TVL) in DeFi could reach $2.7 trillion by the end of the decade, up around 37 times from current levels.
