eToro's AUM Surpasses $20.1 Billion in May, But Crypto Trading Volume Declines 31% Year-on-Year

eToro announced its key business data for May 2026, reporting that its assets under management (AUA) reached $20.1 billion, an 18% year-on-year increase. The number of funded accounts rose to 4.23 million, a 17% increase, which includes 110,000 accounts acquired from the purchase of Zengo and Bit2C. In terms of trading, the capital markets (stocks, commodities, and forex) performed strongly, with the number of trades reaching 64 million, a 59% year-on-year increase; however, the average investment amount dropped to $201, a 36% decline compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the crypto business continues to face pressure. In May, the number of crypto asset trades was 2.2 million, a 31% year-on-year decrease; the average investment amount was $203, down 28% year-on-year, reflecting a decline in market risk appetite and trading activity.
