Since the start of the year spending has amounted to NIS 147 billion, up 10% from the corresponding period last year. There was exceptional revenue of NIS 8.7 billion, probably from tax paid on the Wiz-Google deal, which was sufficient to narrow the deficit by 0.5% from the previous month. The cumulative increase in ministry spending is particularly noticeable in defense spending, which rose 19% from the same period last year (January-March), while economic ministries spent almost 8% less.The Accountant General stressed that the increase in tax revenues is attributed to one-time revenues from taxation from the sale of companies. On the other hand, an increase in tax refunds, along with tax relief following the war, led to a fall in revenues. In March, all tax payments were postponed to the end of the month following the outbreak of the war, and the economy operated on a restricted basis. There was also a loss of NIS 700 million in import revenues.Chief Economist raised revenue forecastsAs part of the state budget update during the war, the Chief Economist at the Ministry of Finance raised the revenue forecast based on the higher tax revenues in the previous month. Ethereum MACD Has Just Seen A Potential Golden Cross

In a new post on X, analyst Ali Martinez has shared a technical analysis (TA) signal forming in the 1-week price of Ethereum. The signal in question is related to the Moving Average Convergence/Divergence (MACD), a technical indicator that’s generally used for identifying buying and selling points for an asset.

It involves two trendlines. The first, called the MACD line, tracks the difference between the 12-period and 26-period exponential moving averages (MAs) for the asset’s price. Meanwhile, the other level, known as the signal line, is the 9-period EMA of the MACD line.

Interactions between the two trendlines of the MACD indicator may provide hints about where the asset could be headed next; a surge from the MACD line above the signal line can be a sign that a bullish market shift may be occurring. On the other hand, the reverse crossover can be a bearish signal.

Now, here is the chart shared by Martinez that shows the trend in the MACD for the weekly price of Ethereum over the last couple of years:

In the graph, the histogram tracks the distance between the indicator’s trendlines. Earlier, this histogram was in the negative territory, indicating that the Ethereum MACD line was trading under the signal line. Recently, however, the metric has just turned into the positive zone, implying a bullish crossover may be forming.

Goldman Sachs: A Different Kind Of Bitcoin Play
Goldman Sachs has filed paperwork with the Securities and Exchange Commission for a Bitcoin Premium Income ETF, a fund designed to give investors Bitcoin exposure while generating regular income through options trading.

The bank plans to put at least 80% of the fund’s assets into products tied to Bitcoin’s price — including shares of existing spot Bitcoin ETFs and options on those funds — rather than buying Bitcoin outright.

To produce income, Goldman intends to sell call options on Bitcoin ETF holdings at a premium. That strategy lets the fund collect fees from options buyers. The tradeoff is a cap on how much upside investors can capture if Bitcoin’s price shoots higher.

The Second Bank To Make A Move
Goldman’s filing comes on the heels of a similar push from Morgan Stanley, which launched its own spot Bitcoin ETF last week — making it the first bank-issued Bitcoin ETF on record.

Goldman Sachs is now the second major bank to enter this space, though its product takes a different approach. Morgan Stanley went the direct route with a spot fund. Goldman is building around options and indirect exposure.

The filing landed as Bitcoin was already making a move. The leading cryptocurrency climbed as high as $76,000 on the day Goldman’s registration statement was submitted to the SEC, before pulling back to around $75,000.

Goldman Sachs: What The Filing Covers
According to the SEC document, the fund may hold spot Bitcoin ETF shares and Bitcoin ETF options directly. Goldman noted in its prospectus that the fund’s income-generating mechanism centers on selling covered call options against those holdings.
