Bitcoin Price Prediction: BTC Bulls Must Hold $74K to Avoid Bigger Drop

Bitcoin is losing momentum after rejection near the $82,000 area, with traders now watching whether $BTC can hold the $74,917 support level. A deeper pullback could bring the $71,000 to $72,000 zone back into focus as Bitcoin continues to trade inside its rising daily channel.

Bitcoin Price Tests 61.8% Fib as $BTC Must Hold $74,917 Support

Bitcoin has pulled back toward the 61.8% Fibonacci retracement level near $77,851, putting the $74,917 support level in focus for the next $BTC price move.

The 4-hour chart shared by Man of Bitcoin on X shows $BTC trading near $77,989 after failing to hold the higher range near $82,750. The analyst said Bitcoin has reached the 61.8% Fib retracement in wave y of wave (2).

The chart shows short-term Fibonacci levels at $78,779, $77,851, and $76,549. Bitcoin is now trading close to the 61.8% level, which often acts as a key area during corrective moves.

$BTC needs to stay above $74,917 to keep the orange roadmap active, according to the chart. That level sits below the current retracement zone and marks the main invalidation area for the near-term structure.

If Bitcoin holds above $74,917, the setup could still allow another move higher. The chart shows resistance near $81,960 and $82,750, where $BTC previously struggled.

A stronger rebound could bring the $86,582 and $87,220 area into focus. The higher extension level near $89,529 also appears on the chart as a possible upside target if momentum returns.

However, a break below $74,917 would weaken the orange roadmap. In that case, $BTC could move into the deeper support zone between $73,357 and $68,433.

For now, Bitcoin remains in a corrective phase. The key range is clear: support sits at $74,917, while resistance stands near $81,960 to $82,750.

Experienced Analyst Claims the Bitcoin Bear Market Is Over: Predicts What Will Happen Next

Cryptocurrency analyst Michaël van de Poppe, in his assessment of the Bitcoin market, stated that the current outlook is strong and he believes the bear market is over.

According to the analyst, a historical examination of the Bitcoin chart shows that markets only bottomed out below the 200-week moving average during the FTX and Luna crises of 2022. In other cycles, after the end of the bear market, the price rose to the 50-week moving average and entered a consolidation phase there.

Van de Poppe argues that, according to his thesis, the bear market ended with the lows formed in February, but he believes the current rally is still ongoing. The analyst stated that there is still room for further gains up to approximately $93,000, where the 50-week moving average is located. However, he was not certain whether this move would happen immediately, suggesting that the rally could slow down until June or later, adding that his assessments are based entirely on technical chart patterns.

Adding that he does not expect new lows in Bitcoin, the analyst said that the “bear flag” pattern, or continuation of the downtrend, which is becoming widespread in the market, has become overcrowded and there are no strong fundamental reasons to support new lows.

Van de Poppe, also commenting on the altcoin market, stated that the sector is still in its early stages. According to the analyst, new narratives and trends need to emerge during this process. Therefore, he noted that certain altcoins may show strong performance periodically, but these projects could lose momentum quickly.

A popular crypto analyst recently revealed how a $100,000 investment in Shiba Inu has performed over the past 12 months.


Ash Crypto shared the analysis while comparing the one-year performance of major traditional assets and cryptocurrencies. The comparison showed that traditional markets, including NVIDIA, the S&P 500, and the NASDAQ, generated strong positive returns during the period. 

In contrast, many cryptocurrencies recorded steep losses. Among the worst-performing assets listed was Shiba Inu, which reportedly declined by 64%.

Key Points 

Crypto analyst Ash Crypto revealed that a hypothetical $100,000 investment in Shiba Inu made one year ago would now be worth approximately $36,000.

The analysis further showed that traditional financial markets significantly outperformed most cryptocurrencies during the same period.

While NVIDIA reportedly delivered a 74% yearly gain, Bitcoin and Ethereum declined by 28% and 17%, respectively.

Shiba Inu, which trades near $0.0000060, has fallen almost 40% from its 2026 peak.

South Korea To Unveil Tokenized Securities Rules In July As Crypto Regulation Advances

 South Korean authorities are set to release detailed rules for the issuance, infrastructure, and distribution of tokenized securities, as the country advances its efforts to implement crypto market regulations in 2027.

FSC Eyes July Tokenized Securities Framework
On Friday, South Korea’s Financial Services Commission (FSC) revealed it is preparing to publish its framework for tokenized securities in July during the second meeting of the public-private joint “Token Securities Council,” launched in March.

Earlier this year, the National Assembly passed the Token Securities Institutionalization Act, which will take effect on February 4, 2027, to amend the Electronic Securities Act and the Capital Markets Act.

The changes are set to allow qualified issuers to launch tokenized securities using distributed ledger technology and enable the products to be traded as investment contract securities on brokerages and other licensed intermediaries.

FSC’s Vice Chairman Kwon Dae-young highlighted that the “upcoming token securities ecosystem must strike a balance between innovation and trust.” Therefore, the regulatory agency is reviewing measures to subordinate regulations and guidelines for the Tokenized Securities Act.

In addition, the regulator is expected to develop a phased roadmap for tokenizing existing standardized securities, such as stocks and bonds, as well as for on-chain settlements, drawing on international practices.
