A growing number of market commentators are reinforcing the idea that Bitcoin may have already established a cycle bottom at around $60,000.

Crypto analyst Astronomer on X has doubled down on his earlier call, arguing that the $60K region marked a decisive low for Bitcoin, with price action holding firm for over eight weeks despite persistent bearish expectations.

The analyst says his call that Bitcoin bottomed around $60K wasn’t based on just one signal, but several factors lining up. These included Fibonacci levels, mining cost data, and hash ribbon signals, all suggesting a strong support zone near $60K.

He also explained that this level is important because of past market behavior, especially a key price level from October 2021 that previously acted as a major turning point and attracted institutional interest.

According to him, big investors likely helped support prices around this area. Moreover, the current pattern of higher highs and higher lows suggests Bitcoin may now be recovering instead of continuing to fall.

Bitcoin Supply in Profit Approaches 2022 Bear Market Levels

During the last bear market, Bitcoin in profit fell to approximately 9 million at its lowest point, while coins held at a loss peaked at around 10.6 million.
The proportion of Bitcoin supply held at a profit has declined to levels approaching those seen during the 2022 bear market, according to CryptoQuant analyst Darkfost. About 11.2 million Bitcoin are currently in profit, down from highs seen earlier in the cycle, while approximately 8.2 million Bitcoin are now held at a loss.

Glassnode data confirms that the number of Bitcoin held at a loss is at levels not recorded since late 2022. During the last bear market, Bitcoin in profit fell to approximately 9 million at its lowest point, while coins held at a loss peaked at around 10.6 million. "This suggests that the market is reaching a notable level of undervaluation, comparable to the conditions observed during the previous bear market," Darkfost said.

Not all analysts share that interpretation. Andri Fauzan Adziima, research lead at Bitrue exchange, argued the data reflects "increasing market stress, not immediate undervaluation." He told Cointelegraph that true capitulation bottoms during 2022 involved more than 50% of supply in loss and profit ratios of 45% or lower, accompanied by extreme readings on indicators including net unrealized profit/loss (NUPL) and market value to realized value ratio (MVRV).

"Current data points to early/mid-bear transition (potential structural bottom near $55,000), with more downside or consolidation likely before a full reset," Adziima said.

Bitcoin has declined approximately 52% from its all-time high this cycle, a smaller drawdown than the 77% to 84% drops recorded in previous bear markets.

As of press time, $AVAX crypto is trading at $8.89, down by 0.45%. Despite a 1.15% surge over the past week, the token has slipped by around 7% over the past month. The traders’ sentiment is also weak, as the 24-hour volume has fallen by 31% to $146 million. This indicates that the traders are taking a cautious stance, without either selling or buying $AVAX.
