Whales are buying again!

According to data from Alphractal, wallets holding more than 1,000 BTC absorbed around 270,000 BTC in the last 30 days. That’s equal to nearly 1.4% of total supply!

Exchange reserves have also dropped to 2.21 million BTC, or 5.88% of circulating supply. That’s the lowest in 8 years!

$TON has rallied more than 36% in the past 24 hours, hitting a four-month high of $1.80, according to data from CoinDesk. It is the native token of The Open Network, a Layer 1 blockchain designed to integrate crypto payments and applications within the Telegram messaging platform.

The bullish sentiment has spread across the Telegram-linked ecosystem, with Notcoin gaining nearly 26%, Dogs rising more than 100%, and several smaller $TON-based tokens posting even larger daily moves.

The market seems to be reacting to Telegram's decision to replace the Ton Foundation as the driving force behind $TON.

The cost-basis suggest a change in the underlying market structure.

Cost basis refers to the price at which a holder originally bought their coins, and it shapes how they react to future price moves. Old holders cashing out on Sunday transferred their coins to buyers willing to pay around $80,000, which raises the average entry price across the network.

That thickens the layer of holders whose break-even point sits close to current levels, and they tend to be the most likely to panic if prices drop. New buyers at are unlikely to dump on a routine pullback as they just got in.

The size of the move also fits the bullish read. The $207 million print is a one-month high, not an all-time high. Genuine cycle tops produce realized profit events that climb into the multiple billions, after which the market typically rolls over within days.

Bitcoin's 30-day average funding rate has been negative for 66 days—the longest streak this decade—as shorts pay an annualized carry of around 12%.

Open interest rose 12% while funding stayed negative, consistent with institutional hedging rather than fear-driven directional shorts.

Historical data show buying Bitcoin during negative funding regimes delivers an 83–96% win rate across all measured time horizons.

Bitcoin has surged to $81,000, but derivatives markets are flashing an unusual signal: the longest streak of negative funding rates this decade.

Solana co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko has warned that the most pressing risk around post-quantum cryptography may not be quantum computers themselves, but the possibility that AI could expose weaknesses in the signature schemes designed to defend against them. His comments add a sharper edge to Solana’s recent quantum-readiness push, which has centered on Falcon signatures, migration planning and wallet-level resilience.

The exchange began after developer Dean Little highlighted progress on a Solana Falcon implementation, saying version “0.1.2 now costs just ~173–183k CUs to verify,” with Lean and Kani proofs expected next. That prompted Yakovenko to suggest deeper native support inside Solana’s transaction architecture, writing: “Syscall to lift PDA is_signer to the transaction processor, charge fees to valid signers at the end of the block. Make it so, pls.”

Solana’s Post-Quantum Plan Gets New Scrutiny
The more consequential remark came shortly after, when Yakovenko framed the problem less as a simple migration from today’s cryptography to post-quantum signatures, and more as a security-design issue with unresolved unknowns.

“I think the biggest risk is that pqc signature schemes will get broken by ai,” Yakovenko wrote. “We don’t know all the implementation footguns even, let alone the math footguns. So we need to support 2/3 wallets for them. @fusewallet or ideally natively with PDAs in the tx processor.”

The point is notable because Solana’s official messaging on quantum readiness has been broadly confident. Wall Street Tycoon DTCC Sets July Pilot, October Launch for Tokenized Securities Shift

Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation will pilot tokenized securities trading in July 2026 and launch fully in October, marking a major Wall Street push to bring stocks, bonds, and ETFs onto blockchain rails.

For decades, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) has operated as the financial system’s invisible backbone — the institution that processes virtually every securities trade in the United States, sitting between buyer and seller in near-total anonymity. 

On Monday, it stepped into the open with something that Wall Street has been debating for years: a concrete timeline to put real assets on a blockchain. DTCC announced today it will begin live, limited trades of tokenized securities in July 2026, with a full commercial launch of the service set for October. 

The service lives inside its subsidiary, the Depository Trust Company, which currently holds more than $114 trillion in custodied assets — a number that gives some scale to what is at stake.

What is tokenization? 

Tokenization is the process of creating a digital representation of an existing asset — a stock, a Treasury bond, an ETF — on a blockchain. In DTCC’s design, the underlying asset stays in DTC’s custody and retains all its existing legal protections, ownership rights, and entitlements. 

What changes is the form: a holder would have a token that mirrors the real thing, one that can move across digital networks in ways that paper-based or legacy-electronic systems cannot.

DTCC is not issuing new assets or creating speculative instruments. It is taking things that already exist — Russell 1000 stocks, major index ETFs, U.S. Treasury bills and notes — and making digital versions of them available to its participants.

XRP Hits 7.8M Holders, Outpacing Cardano and DOGE as Analysts Eye Potential Price Eruption

XRP traded largely sideways on Tuesday despite elevated market liquidity. 

Notably, over the past week, the cryptocurrency has slipped nearly 5% as selling pressure weighed across major digital assets.

Meanwhile, according to data from the analytics firm Santiment, major crypto assets continue to see rising wallet counts across the board, with Bitcoin approaching 60 million wallets and Ethereum nearing 190 million.

This growth places XRP ahead of major competitors such as Cardano (ADA) and Dogecoin (DOGE) in terms of wallet adoption, reinforcing its position as one of the most widely held digital assets in the sector.
Recall in March, XRP’s ledger exceeded 7.7 million holders for the first time in its 13-year history, with a significant increase in activity. Concurrently, daily engagement metrics have undergone improvements. The network recorded a five-week high of 46,767 active addresses last week, driven by increased transaction activity.

Shortly after the price surge, prices rose by approximately 14% over two days, temporarily pushing XRP to $1.60 before being driven down again due to market weakness.

Additionally, popular analyst Ali Charts reported that XRP’s chart is currently developing underlying multi-year triangular patterns. 

According to his analysis, the structure suggests a potential downside floor of around $0.90 in an aggressive bearish cycle, with higher breakout targets reaching $13 and higher during cyclical times. Such estimates are based on historical compression patterns, which involve long periods of consolidation before significant directional movements.
