A crypto analyst has highlighted how the last three golden crosses in the Ethereum MACD led into significant price rallies. This signal has now appeared again.

Ethereum MACD Has Just Seen A Potential Golden Cross

In a new post on X, analyst Ali Martinez has shared a technical analysis (TA) signal forming in the 1-week price of Ethereum. The signal in question is related to the Moving Average Convergence/Divergence (MACD), a technical indicator that’s generally used for identifying buying and selling points for an asset.

It involves two trendlines. The first, called the MACD line, tracks the difference between the 12-period and 26-period exponential moving averages (MAs) for the asset’s price. Meanwhile, the other level, known as the signal line, is the 9-period EMA of the MACD line.

Interactions between the two trendlines of the MACD indicator may provide hints about where the asset could be headed next; a surge from the MACD line above the signal line can be a sign that a bullish market shift may be occurring. On the other hand, the reverse crossover can be a bearish signal.

Ethereum network activity is not being influenced or shaped by the current price action of the altcoin, which has been steadily battling with volatility. Even as the price of ETH has fallen sharply from its new peak, user activity on the leading blockchain network is experiencing robust growth, with more operations being carried out on a daily basis.

Rising On-Chain Activity Contrasts With Declining Price
In a highly uncertain and volatile cryptocurrency environment, the Ethereum network appears to be thriving, experiencing robust interest and engagement. ETH’s current network strength is evident, particularly in the number of transactions processed on the blockchain each day.

The daily transaction counts on the network have exploded while price action continues to struggle to regain bullish momentum. This mismatch between market performance and fundamentals often indicates underlying strength that may not yet be represented in valuation.

Reports from Everstake, the largest global non-custodial staking infrastructure provider, revealed that the Ethereum network is making history, recording over 3.6 million transactions on April 12, 2026. As of today, this figure marks the strongest daily activity on the network since its existence.

What makes this quite interesting is the fact that ETH’s price is still trading about 55% below its all-time high. The increase in on-chain activity indicates that consumers are still actively participating in the network despite the lack of price change.

EverstaKe added that this trend creates a notable divergence because network activity is at peak levels in the absence of complete price strength. In the past, such gaps have demonstrated a tendency to narrow over time.

Ripple has signed a remarkable partnership agreement with Kyobo Life Insurance, one of South Korea’s leading insurance companies.

The parties announced they have launched a joint project to digitize and expedite the government bond clearing process using blockchain technology.

According to the announcement, this agreement marks Ripple’s first partnership with a South Korean insurance company. The project aims to tokenize government bond transactions using Ripple’s “Ripple Custody” platform.

This aims to reduce the T+2 settlement period, commonly used in traditional markets, to a near real-time level.

However, the parties stated that the project is still in its early stages and did not share any concrete information regarding the exact transaction volume, implementation schedule, or which bond types will be covered. The statements emphasized that the collaboration is primarily a pilot project aimed at testing technical and regulatory feasibility.

Kyobo Life also plans to explore stablecoin-based payment solutions in collaboration with Ripple. However, which stablecoin will be used or when the application will be launched has not yet been announced.

Experts point out that this development is part of the accelerating trend of corporate tokenization in Asia. The faster progress of countries like South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore in digital asset regulation, in particular, makes the region stand out in this field.

Ripple is reportedly aiming to strengthen its position in the financial infrastructure sector through increasing institutional collaborations in Asia in recent years.

Paxos Labs has raised $12 million to solve what the project calls DeFi’s ‘product problem.’ Notably, Paxos Labs is a spin-off of the crypto infrastructure firm Paxos.

Through its new Amplify, Paxos Labs believes it can make it super easy for users to earn yield, borrow, and lend assets at scale.

In a statement, Spencer Bogart, general partner at Blockchain Capital, an early investor and one of the key firms that led the latest fundraising round, said,

The infrastructure problem is largely solved. The product problem, what users and platforms actually do with these assets on-chain, is the largest open opportunity in fintech today, and this is the team to build it.

For the unfamiliar, Paxos is a white-label issuer or simply a service provider that helps other firms to create and manage their branded stablecoins.

However, the Paxos Labs spin-off was necessary to address the lack of clarity associated with DeFi regulation. Now, the team wants to go beyond branded stablecoins.

Paxos Labs’ Amplify plans

Amplify is a new stack by Paxos Labs that allows users to mint, earn, and borrow assets. For institutions, Amplify aims to help apps and other fintechs make on-chain assets more productive.

The end goal? Empower users to earn yield.

Commenting on the update, Bhau Kotecha, Co-Founder of Paxos Labs, said,
