Russia lawmakers push to legalize P2P trade, expand digital asset net to TRX and SOLRussian authorities may permit the quite popular peer-to-peer trading of cryptocurrencies under the country’s upcoming rules for digital-asset transactions.

These are the key amendments recently suggested in the State Duma, which is still considering the country’s new law “On Digital Currency and Digital Rights.”

The full set of proposed changes has been sent to the Ministry of Finance by the Financial Markets Committee at the lower house of the parliament in Moscow.

They were presented by Dmitry Novikov, member of the right-wing nationalist Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), the Interfax news agency reported Friday, citing a knowledgeable source.

The move comes ahead of the second reading of the bill designed to comprehensively regulate operations with crypto assets in the Russian Federation.

The legislation, which overcame its first parliamentary hurdle last month, must be adopted and enforced by July 1, 2026, at the latest.

Based on a regulatory concept announced by Russia’s conservative central bank in December, it has attracted criticism for being overly restrictive.

A newly created crypto wallet opened a 10x leveraged long position on Dogecoin.

The position involves 20 million $DOGE valued at approximately $2.25 million.

With $DOGE plunging to $0.11, the position now faces an unrealized loss of about $60.000.

The market downturn has triggered roughly $575 million in crypto liquidations, including about $9.55 million tied to leveraged Dogecoin positions.

According to Lookonchain data, the newly created wallet opened the leveraged Dogecoin position with 10x leverage on 20 million $DOGE valued at approximately $2.25 million.

The trader entered the position at $0.11335. However, the screenshot shared alongside the report showed $DOGE trading at $0.11273, leaving the position with an unrealized loss of about $12,410.

At press time, $DOGE extended its decline to $0.11027, widening unrealized losses to roughly $60,724. Despite the pullback, the trader has maintained the 10x leveraged position. Meanwhile, the liquidation price remains fixed at $0.10284. If $DOGE falls to that level, the trading platform will automatically close the trade to limit further losses.The trade has triggered widespread reactions across the crypto community, largely because the wallet was newly created and the trader used aggressive leverage. As a result, some $DOGE enthusiasts speculate that the trader could be a high-risk “degen” investor or someone anticipating a major bullish catalyst for Dogecoin.

In addition, the liquidation price, sitting roughly 9% below the entry level, has fueled further debate. Many traders argue that the narrow liquidation gap highlights the trader’s strong conviction in a potential upward move.

Meanwhile, the position comes amid renewed selling pressure in the broader crypto market. Over the past 24 hours, Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB, and XRP have declined by 2.75%, 2.76%, 3.60%, and

Cryptocurrency analyst Michaël van de Poppe, in his assessment of the Bitcoin market, stated that the current outlook is strong and he believes the bear market is over.

According to the analyst, a historical examination of the Bitcoin chart shows that markets only bottomed out below the 200-week moving average during the FTX and Luna crises of 2022. In other cycles, after the end of the bear market, the price rose to the 50-week moving average and entered a consolidation phase there.

Van de Poppe argues that, according to his thesis, the bear market ended with the lows formed in February, but he believes the current rally is still ongoing. The analyst stated that there is still room for further gains up to approximately $93,000, where the 50-week moving average is located. However, he was not certain whether this move would happen immediately, suggesting that the rally could slow down until June or later, adding that his assessments are based entirely on technical chart patterns.

Adding that he does not expect new lows in Bitcoin, the analyst said that the “bear flag” pattern, or continuation of the downtrend, which is becoming widespread in the market, has become overcrowded and there are no strong fundamental reasons to support new lows.

Van de Poppe, also commenting on the altcoin market, stated that the sector is still in its early stages. According to the analyst, new narratives and trends need to emerge during this process. Therefore, he noted that certain altcoins may show strong performance periodically, but these projects could lose momentum quickly.
