Michael Saylor has signaled a potential shift in strategy as Strategy considers selling a portion of its Bitcoin holdings — a notable change from its long-standing “never sell” approach.

According to Saylor, the idea is not driven by weakness but by strategy. Selling a small amount of Bitcoin could “inoculate” the market, reducing panic and demonstrating that both the company and Bitcoin ecosystem remain stable even when assets are liquidated.

This comes after Strategy reported a significant quarterly loss, largely due to unrealized losses as Bitcoin declined during the first quarter. Despite this, the firm continues to hold one of the largest Bitcoin treasuries in the world.

Saylor emphasized that the company remains financially resilient, even under extreme downside scenarios. The potential sale would mainly serve to reinforce investor confidence and fund initiatives such as dividends through its preferred stock offerings like STRC.

At the same time, Strategy is pushing forward with a broader vision — building Bitcoin-backed credit markets. The company aims to transform its financial instruments into highly liquid, widely adopted products that could attract both institutional and retail participants.

There is also growing momentum around Bitcoin-based yield products. Tokenized dividend streams and potential “digital yield accounts” offered by neobanks could open new opportunities for investors seeking returns beyond simple price appreciation.

This development signals an evolution in the Bitcoin narrative — from a pure store of value toward a more dynamic financial ecosystem with lending, yield, and credit layers.

In a 30-page response filed Tuesday, attorneys for victims of three North Korea terrorism cases reframed the April 18 Aave hack as fraud rather than theft — a distinction that could give the attackers legal title to the borrowed crypto.





Lawyers for victims of North Korean terrorism now argue that April’s $71 million rsETH incident on Aave was fraud rather than theft, in a bid to preserve a court order freezing the funds.

The filing invokes the Terrorism Risk Insurance Act to claim the frozen ether as North Korean state property and questions whether Aave has standing to challenge the freeze given its own terms saying it does not control user assets.

The dispute stems from a cross-chain bridge exploit attributed to North Korea’s Lazarus Group that drained about $230 million from Aave, even as a separate DeFi recovery fund has raised more than four times the $71 million at issue, ahead of a May 6 federal court hearing in Manhattan.

The price is now trading above $1.4040 and the 100-hourly Simple Moving Average. Besides, there is a bullish trend line forming with support at $1.40 on the hourly chart of the $XRP/USD pair.



If there is a fresh upward move, the price might face resistance near the $1.420 level. The first major resistance is near the $1.4220 level, above which the price could rise and test $1.4350. A clear move above the $1.4350 resistance might send the price toward the $1.450 resistance. Any more gains might send the price toward the $1.4740 resistance. The next major hurdle for the bulls might be near $1.50.
