In the crypto industry, the speed of innovation is often a crucial measure of a protocol's longevity. However, Uniswap, which once single-handedly ushered in the DeFi Summer, seems to be slowing down.

Looking back at Uniswap's evolution, its iteration pace has always been renowned for its rapid pace: V1, featuring an AMM mechanism, was launched in 2018; V2 introduced ERC-20/ERC-20 pairs in 2020; V3 introduced centralized liquidity in 2021; and V4 introduced programmable Hooks in 2023. On average, every 1.5 years, Uniswap would introduce a highly innovative mechanism, reshaping the flow of hundreds of billions of dollars.

However, time has frozen in April 2026, nearly three years after the announcement of the V4 solution, and the market still hasn't seen any news about the next version of Uniswap.

 Currently, Uniswap's product development revolves around Uniswap V4, which transforms Uniswap from a fixed-function AMM into a highly programmable liquidity platform. The core innovation of this version is Hooks, modular, programmable plugins that allow developers to insert custom logic throughout the pool's lifecycle. This includes implementing virtually unlimited functionalities such as dynamic fees, limit orders, TWAMM (Time-Weighted Market Maker), MEV protection, loss hedging, custom oracles, and Continuous Liquidation Auctions (CCA).

Bitcoin is currently trading around the $68,000–$74,000 range, holding its position as the market leader but still struggling to fully break into a strong uptrend.

From a technical view, major resistance sits around $72,000 and $78,000. Until those levels are properly reclaimed, the market is likely to stay in a consolidation phase.

On the downside, support zones are forming between $65,000–$63,000 in broader structure terms, showing that Bitcoin still has long-term strength but limited short-term explosiveness.

For long-term investors, Bitcoin remains the “safe” play—but the upside is more gradual compared to smaller-cap assets.

Ethereum Holding Stable With Moderate Growth Potential

Ethereum is currently hovering around the $1,820–$2,300 range, showing relatively stable performance compared to other altcoins.

It’s not breaking out aggressively, but it’s also not showing major weakness. That’s mainly because Ethereum continues to act as the backbone of DeFi, NFTs, and tokenization.

Long-term projections still place Ethereum in a growth path toward the $2,800–$3,500 range if momentum returns.

Support is forming near the $1,750 zone, while resistance remains closer to $2,200. Until that breaks, ETH is likely to move steadily rather than explosively.

On April 8th, the US and Iran called for an "immediate ceasefire," triggering significant volatility in the cryptocurrency market.

A similar trend emerged in the ETF market, although altcoin performance was mixed, reflecting the varying sentiment among institutional investors over the past week.

Starting last week, spot Bitcoin [BTC] ETFs saw inflows of $471.4 million, with BlackRock's IBIT receiving the largest inflow at $181.9 million, followed by Fidelity's FBTC with $147.3 million.

Ark Invest's ARKB also received $118.8 million in inflows, while Grayscale received $17.6 million. Meanwhile, other funds saw negligible or zero inflows.

However, on April 7th, Bitcoin ETFs experienced outflows of $159.1 million, with Fidelity's FBTC seeing the largest outflow at $47.8 million. Grayscale's GBTC followed closely with an outflow of $41.9 million, and BlackRock's IBIT saw an outflow of $17.1 million.

Even after the ceasefire was announced on April 8th, the outflows continued, with total outflows from Bitcoin ETFs reaching $93.9 million. On that day, Fidelity's FBTC, Ark Invest's ARKB, and Grayscale's GBTC saw outflows of $79.1 million, $74.7 million, and $11.1 million, respectively.

All other ETFs saw inflows, with IBIT leading the way with $40.4 million in inflows. It's worth noting that the situation changed on April 9th ​​and 10th, with Bitcoin ETFs receiving inflows of $358.1 million and $240.2 million respectively. IBIT saw the highest inflows on both days, at $269.3 million and $137.6 million. Meanwhile, Grayscale's GBTC saw no inflows on either day.
