While Bitcoin shows signs of strength, attention is shifting to XRP, which may finally be turning a corner.
$XRP, the native asset of the XRP Ledger, has just flashed its first bullish signal in three months. According to analyst Ali Martinez, the SuperTrend indicator on the daily chart flipped to a buy signal on April 18—potentially signaling the end of a prolonged downtrend that began back in mid-January.
It hasn’t been an easy ride. XRP dropped roughly 27% in Q1 2026, falling from around $2.4 to a low near $1.16—its worst quarterly performance in eight years. Currently trading near $1.44, the asset is still down over 60% from its all-time high of $3.6.
A key level to watch is $1.55, which has repeatedly acted as resistance. A strong breakout above this zone could open the door to $1.9—about 30% upside from current levels.
Beyond price action, there’s a bigger story unfolding. Wrapped XRP (wXRP) has officially launched on the Solana network, allowing holders to access DeFi opportunities like trading, yield farming, and liquidity provision—without selling their XRP.
This integration connects XRP to a fast-growing DeFi ecosystem, including platforms like Jupiter and Phantom, powered by infrastructure from Hex Trust and LayerZero Labs.
Importantly, wXRP is fully backed 1:1 with XRP held in custody, ensuring it remains redeemable at any time while expanding its utility beyond the XRP Ledger.
According to Brad Garlinghouse, this move reflects growing demand and a broader push toward a multi-chain future.

US Bitcoin ETFs saw a record $664 million in inflow in a single day, the highest since January, due to Iran's brief reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz eased concerns about the energy crisis and triggered a rotation of institutional investors towards Bitcoin.

On April 17, US-listed spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) recorded their largest single-day inflow since January. The reopening of a vital Middle Eastern shipping route triggered a broader rotation of risk assets in the market.

According to SoSoValue data, 12 ETFs absorbed approximately $664 million in new funds on April 17.

The influx of funds was spurred by the Iranian Foreign Minister's announcement that the Strait of Hormuz had reopened to commercial shipping during the ceasefire.

Well-known crypto analyst Ali Martinez has shared a fresh technical outlook on Stellar, highlighting key price levels that have defined its recent structure.
According to his analysis, XLM has been trading within a well-defined channel since February. During this period, every upward move has repeatedly been rejected around the $0.179 level, followed by pullbacks toward the $0.147 support zone.
Martinez notes that this pattern—rejection at resistance and bounce from support—has persisted for months, creating a clear and consistent trading range.
However, he also points out that recent price behavior may be shifting. Selling pressure appears to be weakening, suggesting that this long-standing range could be nearing a turning point.
If this easing pressure continues, XLM may eventually break out of its consolidation phase and enter a new upward trend.
