Bitcoin options worth roughly $7.9 billion are set to expire on Deribit this Friday, with positioning data pointing to $62,000 and $75,000 as key levels to watch out for.

The $75,000 level is where most trading in call options, which represent bullish bets, has happened, according to data source Glassnode. Around $395 million in call open interest is concentrated at the $75,000 strike as of writing. That figure represents the dollar value of the number of active call options contracts today.

More importantly, “gamma exposure” is deeply negative at the 75,000 strike – it means dealers’ hedging flows are likely to amplify price movements around this level. As the price rises, they may need to buy more, and as it falls, sell more, reinforcing the direction of the move.

As a result, the 75,000 level can act as a zone of heightened volatility, where price swings become sharper rather than stabilizing.

Options are derivative contracts that give the buyer the right to buy or sell the underlying asset, in this case, BTC, at a predetermined price at a later date. A call option gives the right to buy and a put option gives the right to sell.

It's like paying a booking fee to reserve a right to transact a house at today’s price – you have the right to buy or sell it later at that price, but you’re not obligated to go through with the transaction if the market price moves against you.


On the downside, the largest concentration of put open interest sits at $62,000, with roughly $330 million in contracts, marking the main zone of downside protection.

Looking at other altcoins, $XRP experienced an outflow of $56.2 million after strong weeks. Besides $XRP, Solana (SOL) also saw an outflow of $2.3 million, while Sui (SUI) experienced an inflow of $2.2 million and Chainlink (LINK) saw an inflow of $5.3 million.

“Bitcoin saw $1.11 billion in inflows, bringing total inflows since the beginning of the year to $3.1 billion. Breaking above the $76,000 level represents a significant technical development after two months of sideways movement.”

There was a modest inflow of $1.4 million into Bitcoin short positions. This indicates that demand for hedging, albeit limited, continues.

Ethereum experienced its strongest week since January, seeing inflows of $328 million and bringing its total inflows since the beginning of the year to $197 million.

On the other hand, $XRP Solana recorded outflows of $56 million and $2.3 million respectively.

KelpDAO’s $290 million rsETH exploit has moved into a new phase, with LayerZero and Aave now publicly outlining how the incident unfolded, why the damage appears contained, and what it could mean for crypto cross-chain security standards going forward.

The central claim from LayerZero is that the exploit was not a failure of the protocol itself, but the result of KelpDAO’s decision to run rsETH with a single-DVN configuration. That matters because the latest statements shift the market narrative away from generalized contagion risk across LayerZero-integrated assets and toward a narrower question: how much risk was concentrated in one application’s security design.

LayerZero Links KelpDAO Crypto Exploit To RPC Attack

In an incident statement from April 20, LayerZero said the April 18 attack targeted KelpDAO’s rsETH setup and was “isolated entirely to KelpDAO’s rsETH configuration as a direct consequence of their single-DVN setup.” The company added that it had conducted “a comprehensive review of active integrations” and could confirm “with confidence that there is zero contagion to any other asset or application.”

LayerZero framed the episode as a state-linked crypto infrastructure attack rather than a protocol exploit. According to the statement, “preliminary indicators suggest attribution to a highly-sophisticated state actor, likely DPRK’s Lazarus Group, more specifically TraderTraitor.”



It said the attack did not compromise the protocol, key management, or the DVN instances directly. Instead, the attacker allegedly poisoned downstream RPC infrastructure used by the LayerZero Labs DVN, swapped binaries on compromised op-geth nodes, and then used DDoS pressure on uncompromised RPCs to force failover toward the poisoned infrastructure.

Blockchain sleuth accuses RaveDAO of knowing who manipulated the price of its token

Blockchain sleuth ZachXBT wrote on Sunday that the team behind RaveDAO is at least aware of who manipulated the price of its token, which saw an impossible 11,000% surge in price followed by a near immediate collapse.

“I found suspicious CEX (centralized crypto exchanges) activity on April 26 tied to RaveDAO team addresses onchain, which potentially contradicts their recent statements,” the blockchain investigator said.

In a separate post, ZachXBT flagged a transfer from a $RAVE address used for “initial distribution” by RaveDAO from which roughly $23 million worth of tokens were transferred to two Bitget deposit addresses causing the price to drop 40% from $1 to $0.6.

RaveDAO posted a six-part X thread on Saturday, previously reported by CoinDesk, stating “we are aware of the rumors and accusations circulating regarding $RAVE and the RaveDAO team. We want to be clear: RaveDAO team is not engaged in, nor responsible for, recent price action.”

However, ZachXBT said, “given the supply concentration, the team at minimum knows who is responsible for this price action.”

In a separate X post, the investigator said, “you expect the community to believe $RAVE went $60M -> $6B mkt cap organically in nine days with little to no utility? Considering your team handled the initial distribution with a low float it’s unlikely you do not know the party responsible for it.”

The RaveDAO token, which increased by nearly 11,000% in nine days from about $0.25 to $27.33, then plunged by over 90%, losing roughly $5.7 billion in market capitalization in just 48 hours. Its price currently hovers around $0.67.
