The Russian government has banned cryptocurrency mining until December 31, 2032, in several regions, including Moscow, the Moscow region, and parts of the Kursk region. The decree, published on July 31, states the ban will take effect in these territories starting August 15. In the Kursk region, the prohibition applies to eight districts and the city of Lgov. This measure amends a previous government resolution from December 2024.
