API3 is a decentralized oracle solution that enables APIs to deliver data directly to blockchain applications without relying on third-party intermediaries. Unlike traditional oracle networks that depend on third-party nodes to aggregate and transmit data, API3 focuses on first-party oracles and leverages decentralized APIs (dAPIs). Its core infrastructure is powered by Airnode, a serverless oracle node that allows data providers to connect their APIs directly to smart contracts, enhancing transparency, reducing costs, and improving reliability. API3 offers seamless blockchain integration and cross-chain compatibility, aiming to deliver a secure, decentralized, and trustworthy data layer for Web3 applications.

Heikki Vanttinen: Co-founder; former founder & CEO of CLC Group, with prior roles in strategic marketing at Zippie, Spacegrade, and Equilibrium Labs.
