Zcash ($ZEC) has extended its bullish rally, with the price strengthening supported by increased derivatives activity and heightened market participation. $ZEC recently traded around $1,166 after reaching the $1,250 zone before a slight pullback.
The token continues to trade well above its key daily moving averages. Thus, the broader trend remains firmly bullish, despite signs of weakening buying pressure.
$ZEC Price Maintains Strong Technical Structure
$ZEC continues to maintain a bullish structure on the daily chart. The price confidently exceeds its 20-day EMA at $1,020.90. Furthermore, the 50-day EMA stands at $827.28, and the 100-day EMA is at $683.33.
The 200-day EMA remains significantly lower at $554.43. This wide separation between moving averages underscores the strength of $ZEC's long-term momentum. Additionally, the current price holds above the $1,061 support level.
Sustaining above this zone may allow buyers to challenge the $1,200-$1,250 resistance area again. Crucially, a breakout above this area could pave the way to $1,297.
However, losing $1,061 could weaken the current structure. Consequently, $ZEC could retreat to the $990–$1,000 zone. This zone also coincides with the 0.618 Fibonacci retracement level.

Furthermore, the Chaikin Money Flow (CMF) indicator has declined to 0.12. Previously, it was above 0.30, indicating a decrease in buying pressure.
Open Interest Signals Rise in Speculation
The Zcash derivatives market has surged alongside the recent price increase. Open Interest (OI) rose from modest levels earlier this year and accelerated in March.
The metric eventually surpassed $1 billion before continuing to climb. By September 15, open interest reached approximately $2.17 billion.
This increase suggests that traders have added significant positions around $ZEC's latest move. Moreover, the elevated positioning could amplify price volatility if traders begin closing leveraged positions. Thus, rising open interest supports bullish momentum but also introduces greater downside risk.
Spot Flows Exhibit Caution
$ZEC spot flows provide a less convincing signal than the derivatives market. Inflows have appeared periodically, but outflows have remained frequent in recent months.
Several stronger inflow spikes occurred in August, indicating renewed demand from spot traders. However, the flow pattern has remained choppy rather than showing sustained accumulation.

On September 15, $ZEC recorded a net outflow of approximately $1.05 million. This metric points to short-term selling pressure despite the token's recent price strengthening.
Zcash Price Technical Overview
Key levels remain clearly defined as $ZEC consolidates after its latest rally:
Upside Levels: $1,200–$1,250 forms the immediate resistance zone. A breakout could push $ZEC towards $1,297 and potentially higher.
Downside Levels: $1,061 marks the immediate support, followed by the $990–$1,000 zone. A deeper correction could reveal $873 and $800.
Resistance Ceiling: $1,297 is a key level capable of triggering a reversal to reinforce bullish momentum. $ZEC remains significantly above its key EMAs, keeping the broader trend positive.
The technical picture shows that $ZEC remains in a strong bullish structure despite the recent cooldown. However, the weakening CMF shows buying pressure has eased. Rising open interest also indicates increased speculative positioning around the current price.
Will Zcash Rise?
The Zcash price forecast largely depends on whether buyers can defend $1,061 and reclaim the $1,200–$1,250 resistance cluster. A decisive breakout could amplify momentum towards $1,297.
Furthermore, rising open interest could fuel the next move as traders increase risk with leverage. However, recent spot outflows indicate demand remains patchy.

If $ZEC loses $1,061, sellers could target $990–$1,000, with $873 being the next downside level. For now, $ZEC remains at a critical zone, and the $1,250 breakout level is likely to determine the next major move.
