On Robinhood Chain, Which Liquidity Pools Are Actually Profitable?

On Robinhood Chain, the profitability of providing liquidity varies significantly across different pools. Liquidity Pools (LPs) involving tokenized stocks paired with ETH or stablecoins generally earn fees that cover their arbitrage costs (loss-versus-rebalancing, or LVR), with coverage ratios of approximately 3.3x and 2.9x, respectively. In contrast, pools pairing stocks with other stocks barely break even (1.02x coverage), and those pairing stocks with memecoins are largely unprofitable, covering only about 20% of LVR costs on average. This disparity exists because tokenized stocks track external, verifiable prices, generating consistent trading volume and fees, while memecoins exhibit higher volatility and information asymmetry, making LPs more vulnerable to arbitrage. Timing is also crucial. While LVR costs and fee income increase proportionally during standard U.S. trading hours, the market open (9:30 AM ET) presents a severe challenge. Arbitrage costs spike to over 13 times the pre-open level, while fee coverage plummets to just 1.05x. Passive LPs are heavily exploited during this period of intense price discovery. Profitability normalizes only after the initial volatility subsides. Therefore, successful liquidity provision on Robinhood Chain requires strategic pairing—prioritizing pools with external price anchors and real demand—and active timing management, particularly around market opens, rather than relying on passive "set-and-forget" strategies.
