TerraClassicUSD (USTC), formerly TerraUSD (UST), is a decentralized algorithmic stablecoin pegged to the US dollar and operating on the Terra Classic blockchain. Initially designed to maintain a 1:1 peg with the USD, it experienced a significant depeg following the Terra collapse in May 2022.
