What is Futures Martingale?
- Guida per l'utente
I. What Is Martingale?
The Martingale strategy is based on a simple principle: doubling the position size after every loss.
The idea is that a single winning trade can recover all previous losses and generate a profit equal to the initial stake.
In other words, each loss is followed by an increased position size, so that the next successful trade offsets the cumulative losses and yields a net gain.
When a trade results in a loss, the strategy recommends doubling the next trade to compensate, aiming to secure a profit. By capitalizing on market rebounds (long positions) or pullbacks (short positions), the Martingale strategy seeks to reduce overall losses and support potential long-term growth.
II. How to Set Up Futures Martingale on HTX
On the HTX app, go to the Bots page and select Futures Martingale.

- In the interface, you can explore active bots under the Recommended Bots tab to view their real-time performance.
- To create a custom Futures Martingale bot, switch to the Manual tab. Here, you can configure your bot by setting the trading direction (Long or Short), price scale, take-profit ratio, safety orders, initial order amount, and leverage. The Advanced Settings provide additional controls, including trigger price (Market or Limit), investment multiplier, stop-loss, and rounds (which automatically restart the bot with the same parameters once it closes).
III. How Futures Martingale Bot Works
Direction Selection: Traders choose a direction based on their market outlook, such as “buy low, sell high” in a ranging market or commit to a single direction in a trending market.
Initial Margin Setup: Set the starting margin for your first trade, for example, 100 USDT.
Take-Profit and Stop-Loss Settings:
Take-Profit (TP): Set a fixed percentage (e.g., 1%). When this target is reached, the position closes, and the bot automatically restarts using the initial margin.
Martingale Stop-Loss (SL): Instead of a traditional stop-loss, this mechanism triggers when the price moves unfavorably. If the price drops by a set percentage relative to the initial order baseline, the bot will close the position at market price.
Rounds: Operate on an automatic cycle. A new trading round starts automatically after each successful take-profit. The bot continues to loop until it reaches the set round limit, hits the stop-loss price, or is manually stopped by the user.

VI. Futures Martingale Trading Bot Parameters
1. Price Scale: The percentage difference in price between consecutive safety orders, calculated relative to the quote currency.
2. TP Target: Once the take-profit price is triggered and filled, the current strategy round ends. A new round will start immediately based on your preset conditions. If a trigger price is set, the strategy will wait for the market to reach that price before restarting.
3. Initial Order Amount: The value of the first order executed at the start of each trading round.
4. Safety Order Amount: Successive orders placed during a round to lower the average entry cost and reach the TP target faster.
5. Safety Orders: The maximum number of safety orders allowed per round. The actual number executed may depend on your available margin.
6. Auto-Margin Transfer: When the margin level reaches a high-risk threshold, this feature automatically transfers funds from your Futures account to the active bot to help prevent liquidation. You can set a maximum amount for these automatic transfers.
7. Volume Scale: The factor applied to the next safety order amount. affecting how effectively the strategy averages down your entry price. For example, with a base amount of 100 USDT and a multiplier of 2, safety orders are placed as follows:
100 = (2^0 × 100) 200 = (2^1 × 100) 400 = (2^2 × 100) , and so on.
Stop After Current Round: When enabled, the bot will terminate automatically at the end of the current round.
Trigger Price: The bot starts running once the last price reaches the trigger price you set.
