Arch Lending Adds Tokenized Gold to Its List of Collateral Assets
Crypto lending platform Arch Lending, managed by ChainFi, has now begun accepting tokenized gold assets PAX Gold (PAXG) and Tether Gold (XAUT) as collateral for cryptocurrency loans. The initial loan-to-value (LTV) ratio is set at up to 75%.
These loans, typically offered for a 12-month term, are managed within a regulated custody framework. Borrowers can receive funds in U.S. dollars or USDC, while the collateral assets are securely held by Anchorage Digital, a qualified custodian bank for institutional clients.
Each PAXG token, issued by Paxos, and each XAUT token, issued by TG Commodities Limited, represents one troy ounce of physical gold, stored in vaults operated by Brink's and in Switzerland, respectively. Together, these tokens dominate the tokenized gold market.
Arch Lending aims to serve gold investors, financial advisors, commodity traders, family offices, and corporate treasuries with this new offering. The minimum loan amount is $250,000, with interest rates starting from 9.25% per annum for smaller loans and from 7.25% for loans exceeding $5 million.
