On August 14, OpenAI appointed its second Chief Revenue Officer in less than a year, indicating the company's efforts to strengthen sales growth in preparation for its highly anticipated Wall Street IPO. OpenAI has hired Dali Rajic as the new Chief Revenue Officer, who previously served as President and COO of Wiz, a cybersecurity company under Alphabet. He will replace Dennis Dreiser, who joined OpenAI in December last year and will leave the company after completing the transition period. This appointment comes amid ongoing adjustments within OpenAI's executive team, with recent departures including Brad Lightcap, Figi Simo, and Kevin Weil. OpenAI President Greg Brockman stated that the company needs to continuously demonstrate that every dollar invested in AI by clients generates 'measurable business value.' He revealed that OpenAI's annual revenue run rate grew by over 20% month-over-month in July, with enterprise customer business increasing by 32%. Last month, OpenAI announced that its weekly active users had surpassed 1 billion.
