Bitcoin traders have begun rebuilding upside expectations following last week’s sharp sell-off. Prediction market data shows a rebound in confidence even as spot price action and derivatives positioning remain cautious.

On Polymarket, traders are currently pricing a 61% probability that Bitcoin reaches $75,000 in February, up roughly 8 percentage points from recent lows.

The shift follows a period of heightened volatility that saw Bitcoin briefly slide into the high-$60,000 range before stabilizing near $70,000.

Prediction markets signal recovering confidence

The move higher in Polymarket odds reflects a reassessment of upside risk after the sell-off rather than a decisive change in trend.

While a 61% probability indicates the outcome is favored, it also implies that a sizable portion of traders—nearly 40%—remain unconvinced that Bitcoin will clear the $75,000 level within the month.

Trading activity on the contract has been active, with tens of millions of dollars in volume. It suggests the odds are responding quickly to price movements rather than drifting on thin liquidity.

Bitcoin spot price stabilizes, trend remains fragile

Bitcoin’s spot price has rebounded modestly from recent lows and is hovering around $70,000–71,000, but the broader structure remains weak.

Price is still trading below key moving averages, and the longer-term trend continues to slope lower following the January breakdown.

Volume spiked during the sell-off and eased during the rebound, a pattern typically associated with liquidation-led moves rather than renewed accumulation. While some dip buying has emerged near the lows, there is limited evidence so far of sustained follow-through.

After completing the rounded base, H broke higher before pulling back into a downward-sloping handle, which has consistently held above the $0.105 demand zone, confirming it as a critical structural floor.

Price has since reclaimed the $0.135–$0.143 area, turning prior resistance into short-term support and signaling improved control by buyers.

Above current levels, the $0.153 region stands as the immediate ceiling, where prior rejections occurred. However, a sustained hold above this band would expose the $0.20 target, which aligns with the next major horizontal supply.

Meanwhile, RSI has recovered toward 51, reinforcing momentum stabilization rather than exhaustion, and supporting a continuation bias if structure holds.

The meeting will not be attended by company CEOs, but rather senior policy officials from banks and crypto firms, as well as representatives from industry associations.


According to sources, major banks invited include Bank of America, JPMorgan, and Wells Fargo. Representatives from PNC Financial Services, Citigroup, and U.S. Bank may also have been invited. On the crypto side, Coinbase Chief Legal Officer Paul Grewal is expected to attend.


Cryptocurrency companies are demanding a more flexible framework for offering returns to users through the stablecoins they issue, while banks argue that this practice could create risks similar to deposit-taking activities and generate regulatory inequality. This is seen as a new front in the competition between traditional finance and the crypto sector.


Another important topic of discussion between the parties is the FED’s proposed “skinny” master account model. This model would grant eligible fintech companies limited access to the FED’s payment systems.


The 44 comment letters sent to the FED clearly revealed the divergence between sectors. While crypto companies generally approached the proposal positively, the banking sector adopted a cautious, and at times even negative, stance.


Stablecoin issuer Circle argued that skinny accounts would “increase the overall resilience of the payment system.” The Blockchain Payments Consortium, which includes blockchain infrastructure providers such as Fireblocks, Polygon, Solana, and TON, stated that this model would “eliminate anti-competitive practices that negatively impact consumers and
