Exchange inflows add another layer of cautionOn-chain spot flow data also reflected a subtle shift after Ethereum recorded a $5.92 million net inflow into exchanges during the latest session.

Positive netflows generally indicate that more $ETH moved onto exchanges than left them, increasing the amount of readily tradable supply.

Although the inflow remained relatively modest, it contrasted with the recent pattern of stronger exchange outflows that had previously limited immediate selling pressure.

Meanwhile, the ETF withdrawal and positive spot netflow pointed in the same direction, showing that fresh supply had started returning to the market.

Even so, the figures remained far below the large exchange inflows that often accompany aggressive selloffs.

Consequently, buyers still retained an opportunity to absorb the additional supply before it significantly altered Ethereum's broader market structure.

Dango will shut down its trading platform and its own blockchain after concluding the project has no path to lasting commercial success. The team told users to close positions and withdraw funds.

The wind-down arrives only months after Dango opened perpetual futures trading in April. Similar closures have hit the sector repeatedly through 2026.

Dango Sets 2 Deadlines for Users to Exit

Dango operates a Layer 1 (L1) blockchain and a decentralized exchange (DEX). Both are now on a countdown.

Trading stops on Wednesday, July 29, at 12 pm UTC. Remaining positions will close at the oracle price, and deposits in its liquidity provider vaults will unlock. The team said that all balances will be returned in USDC to spot accounts.

The L1 then stops running on Wednesday, August 13, at 12 pm UTC. Deposits left behind at that point go back to their original Ethereum (ETH) addresses.

“Funds are safe. Limits to withdrawals will be lifted shortly. We encourage you to close positions and withdraw funds. Be careful of slippage, as liquidity is expected to be thin,” Dango wrote.

Founder Larry pointed to a stack of pressures rather than a single failure.

“Since the launch in April, our team has faced strong headwind: cash running out, legal/compliance challenges that led to large delays in our ability to ship new features, the resulting lose of growth momentum, lose of talents from the team, and the overall highly adverse market conditions,” he explained.

Dango is far from alone. CryptoRank counted 17 major crypto shutdowns and bankruptcies through July 23, including Loopring DEX, Movement Labs, and Bitcoin Depot.

Malware concealed inside downloadable games allegedly harvested credentials that attackers used to enter cryptocurrency accounts and remove victims’ digital assets. Local 10 News first reported the case on July 15, citing a 15-page federal criminal complaint that outlined the alleged malware scheme.

The complaint alleges that the operation ran from May 2024 through February 2026, compromising roughly 8,000 devices through eight infected games. Federal investigators accuse Zyaire Dontaevious Zamarion Wilkins, 21, of North Lauderdale, Florida, of providing financial support for the malware operation and helping promote the campaign.

Ethereum Price Faces Bearish Sentiment as History Points to Rebounds
Ethereum price remained under pressure as social sentiment across major crypto platforms dropped to one of its weakest levels in recent weeks. However, historical data shared by Santiment showed that similar periods of growing pessimism have previously been followed by short-term price recoveries.

At the same time, separate market data highlighted that institutional ETF demand continued to rise beneath the surface.

Ethereum Price Sentiment Turns Bearish Again

Santiment reported that Ethereum’s positive-to-negative social commentary ratio turned bearish for the third time within the past month. The data tracked discussions across X, Reddit, Telegram, and other crypto communities while comparing sentiment with Ethereum’s market performance.

According to the chart, previous sentiment declines produced different outcomes. On June 27, bearish social commentary was followed by a 14% increase in Ethereum’s price over the next seven days. A similar pattern appeared on July 11, when the asset gained 7% during the following four days after another period of negative sentiment.

The latest reading showed sentiment falling to one of its lowest levels in the observed period as the Ethereum price traded around $1,856 after retreating from recent highs. Santiment noted that negative sentiment alone does not predict an immediate recovery.

However, the firm stated that earlier periods of widespread frustration coincided with later price rebounds while ETF inflows, Layer-2 activity, and protocol development remained active.

Ethereum Technical Indicators Continue to Show Average Strength

The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remained in positive territory, with the MACD line at 37.88 and the signal line at 37.84. However, the flattening histogram showed that buying momentum had weakened.

Strategy needs to monetize BTC after buying time with digital credit framework, Galaxy Research Alex Thorn, the head of firmwide research at Galaxy Research, shared Galaxy's analysis on X, adding his voice to the debate regarding Strategy's newly announced Digital Credit Capital Framework.

The new rules have sparked a debate about whether or not they will solve the company's capital-structure problems or simply delay them.

How does Strategy's new capital framework operate?

Strategy (Nasdaq: MSTR) recently disclosed a new "Digital Credit Capital Framework" in a 8-K regulatory filing.

Cryptopolitan reported that the framework grants the company formal permission to sell up to $1.25 billion worth of Bitcoin. Notably, the firm is facing a massive unrealized loss of roughly $14 billion on its holdings of 847,363 $BTC.

The framework creates a formal USD reserve policy that introduces revised dividend terms for its STRC preferred shares, and authorizes separate repurchase programs for both preferred stock and MSTR common shares at $1 billion each.

The board has kept aside the company's $2.55 billion cash reserve, restricting its use to preferred dividends and debt interest.

If the current spending rates of roughly $1.76 billion annually are retained, this reserve is expected to last for about 17 months. If the full authorized sale of Bitcoin were to be executed, total liquidity would stretch to approximately $3.8 billion, an amount that would cover about 26 months of obligations
