In terms of network adoption, the Chainalysis report is broadly bullish for the market.

The logic is simple: beyond acting as a liquidity engine, stablecoins function as a settlement layer for on-chain transactions. In this context, a growing stablecoin market directly points to increased network activity.

As the chart below shows, adjusted stablecoin volume is projected to reach $719 trillion by 2035. In fact, Chainalysis reports that stablecoin payment volumes are on track to match Visa and Mastercard sometime between 2031 and 2039.

This comes amid a broader shift toward stablecoin infrastructure, with Western Union, USDPT, Fidelity (FIDD), Meta, and several other Fortune 500 companies preparing launches.



In short, the Chainalysis report is bullish for network growth and long-term DeFi adoption.

However, for risk assets, the setup can look very different. As noted earlier, stablecoins are a key sentiment signal for Bitcoin and other speculative assets.

In this context, rising stablecoin volume can support networks that use these assets as a settlement layer. However, for risk assets like Bitcoin, the impact depends on whether that liquidity is actively flowing into markets or staying on the sidelines.

Open interest in perpetual futures markets and onchain trading patterns suggest some traders may have positioned ahead of Robinhood crypto listing announcements, according to a Monday report from analytics provider Kaiko.

One of the clearest examples was wallet address '0xa1E,' which Kaiko said opened a long position on Lighter ($LIT) on decentralized exchange Hyperliquid at 11:05 am UTC on Jan. 15, about an hour before Robinhood announced the token’s listing at 12:12 pm The wallet closed the position at 1:00 pm, shortly after the announcement.

Kaiko said the same address later opened a short position on a HOOD-linked perpetual contract on April 28, hours before Robinhood reported first-quarter revenue that missed analyst expectations. The trader closed the short later that day after HOOD moved lower.

The trading patterns raise questions about whether some market participants had access to non-public listing information or had developed a reliable method for detecting public signals before announcements. Kaiko also said sophisticated traders may have been reacting to funding-rate spikes, volume increases and open-interest changes rather than inside information.
Multiple other wallets made similar moves just before a listing was made public, raising the question of whether “more than one participant had access to the same information ahead of the announcement,” wrote Laurens Fraussen, a research analyst at Kaiko.Kaiko pointed to multiple cryptocurrency listings that led to a surge in open interest and funding rates just ahead of Robinhood's public listing announcements, including Zcash ($ZEC), Synthetix ($SNX) and the Near Protocol (NEAR) tokens, among other assets.Hourly price drift ahead of Robinhood listing announcements for $LIT, $SNX and $ZEC. The chief marketing officer (CMO) at Crypto.com, Steven Kalifowitz, who has overseen more than $1 billion spent on partnerships and high profile campaigns in the past several years, is leaving the company.

Crypto.com spokesperson said Kalifowitz will be moving on from his role as CMO, effective June 30, and will then continue on as advisor to the CEO.

“Steven has been a significant contributor to the effective mainstreaming of the Crypto.com brand, from introducing Crypto.com on a global stage through our first brand film in 2021, to striking strategic partnerships and sponsorships that have helped connect Crypto.com to millions of consumers,” the spokesperson said.

Kalifowitz has been CMO at Crypto.com for close to six years, during which time the company surged in recognition from just being an app to a global brand.

During his tenure, Crypto.com has invested over $1 billion in partnerships, including a $700 million, 20-year deal for naming rights to the Crypto.com Arena (formerly Staples Center), and a $100 million campaign with Matt Damon.

The crypto buying platform also has high-profile partnerships with Formula 1 and the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), an American mixed martial arts promotion company based in Las Vegas.

Kalifowitz was previously a brand manager at Twitter for four years, and president of real estate platform Localize.city.

Founded in 2016, Singapore-based Crypto.com allows users to buy and sell more than 200 cryptocurrencies, as well as the ability to earn rewards by depositing crypto or using its Visa card.
