Avalanche Staking Goes Tradable as Grayscale's GAVA Hits NASDAQ

Grayscale Investments® has taken another step into tokenized finance with the launch of the Grayscale Avalanche Staking ETF, which began trading on NASDAQ on March 12, 2026, under the ticker GAVA. The new exchange-traded product is built to provide investors with exposure to AVAX, the native token of the Avalanche network, while also incorporating staking into the fund's strategy so the product may earn rewards tied to network participation.

The fund, formally called the Grayscale Avalanche Staking ETF, is structured as an exchange traded product rather than a traditional 40 Act-registered ETF, a distinction Grayscale stresses in regulatory disclosures and marketing materials. That means the product is not subject to the same Investment Company Act of 1940 rules and investor protections that govern most mutual funds and conventional ETFs; Grayscale and its filings warn that GAVA carries heightened volatility and that an investment in the product is not equivalent to a direct holding of AVAX.

The bankruptcy estate of FTX has initiated another asset movement as part of its ongoing creditor repayment process following the exchange’s collapse in 2022. Through its affiliated trading firm, Alameda Research, approximately $17 million worth of Solana (SOL) was recently unstaked and transferred to a designated distribution wallet.
This transaction forms part of the court-approved liquidation strategy aimed at systematically converting remaining crypto holdings into funds for creditor repayments. Despite the latest transfer, Alameda Research continues to hold an estimated $321 million in SOL, indicating that periodic market supply from the estate may persist as the restructuring process advances.
While such asset liquidations typically raise concerns regarding potential market dilution, Solana’s on-chain fundamentals remain notably resilient. Recent network data indicates a net positive staking inflow. In one observed 24-hour period, approximately $246 million worth of SOL was activated for staking, compared to $170 million deactivated, resulting in a net staking increase of roughly $76 million. This trend suggests sustained confidence among both institutional and retail participants in the Solana ecosystem.
From a technical market perspective, SOL is currently consolidating within the $80–$90 range following a period of heightened volatility. Should the network continue to absorb the estate’s liquidations without breaching key support levels, analysts anticipate a potential retest of the $95–$100 resistance zone.
Conversely, if the estate accelerates the liquidation of its remaining $300+ million SOL holdings, the resulting increase in market supply could prompt a retest of the critical $80 support level before a sustained bullish recovery materializes.

Pumpfun Launches Automated Buyback Tool for AI Agent Tokens

Solana-based memecoin launchpad pumpfun has rolled out a new feature that connects AI agents to tokenonomics, allowing projects to automatically funnel agent-generated revenue into token buybacks and burns.

The tool, called Tokenized Agents, targets what pumpfun describes as a core problem in the growing "agentic economy" – a lack of value alignment between successful AI agent projects and the communities that form around them.

How It Works

Under the new system, developers launch a token on the platform, set a revenue buyback percentage, and integrate their agent using a provided configuration file. When the agent earns revenue, whether from SaaS products, trading, or other sources, a portion is automatically used to buy back and burn the token.

Buybacks are executed by a centralized buyback authority and instantly burned. Only revenue denominated in SOL and USDC is eligible, and a minimum threshold of $10 in accumulated revenue is required before a buyback is triggered.

It’s worth noting that the agents themselves are not deployed on pumpfun, whose role is limited to enabling the onchain buyback-and-burn mechanism tied to the token.
