South Korea’s KOSPI Index triggered a circuit breaker after plunging 8%, halting stock and program trading for 20 minutes. The selloff erased about ₩396 trillion ($264 billion) in market value as Samsung Electronics fell 9% and SK Hynix dropped 11%. Investors reacted to concerns over AI infrastructure spending, Nvidia-related financing, and rising competition from China’s semiconductor industry. The sharp decline also intensified selling in leveraged ETFs, marking the eighth circuit breaker of 2026.

The selected projects cover a range of blockchain applications, including:
Tokenization of real-world assets and securities
Blockchain-based capital raising
Crowdfunding platforms
Synthetic trading infrastructure
Notably, four of the seven participants are directly focused on tokenization, highlighting growing interest in bringing traditionally illiquid assets into regulated digital investment markets.
The sandbox allows these companies to test their products under regulatory supervision. However, participation does not guarantee full licensing—projects must still meet all regulatory requirements before launching commercially.
In my view, this reflects a broader global trend: regulators are becoming more willing to test blockchain innovation through controlled environments rather than banning it outright. Regulatory sandboxes can help balance innovation with investor protection while giving tokenized assets a clearer path toward mainstream adoption.

Bitcoin [BTC] is becoming scarcer with every halving, but miners are also earning lesser for securing the network.

Bitcoin miners secure the network by using computing power to verify transactions and add new blocks. In return, they receive newly issued BTC, known as the block reward, along with the transaction fees paid by users.Every 210,000 blocks (or roughly once every four years) the block reward is cut in half. This slows the rate at which new Bitcoin enters circulation. According to Alphractal, there has been an obvious drop in annual supply growth after every halving.

Bitcoin’s Monday rally that drove it to $65,600 on a couple of occasions has come to a screeching halt, as the asset has not only erased all gains but plummeted even more to a ten-day low.

Most altcoins have followed suit, which has skyrocketed the daily liquidations to approximately $700 million.

XRP price trades at $1.05 on Tuesday after losing over 4% the previous day. XRP is maintaining a bearish near-term bias as price remains below the 50-, 100-, and 200-day Exponential Moving Averages (EMAs) at $1.13, $1.21, and $1.42, respectively.

The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is in bearish territory near 39, suggesting lingering downside pressure. At the same time, the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) remains fractionally negative, suggesting that recovery attempts are still vulnerable below the clustered EMA resistance.

On the topside, initial resistance is seen at the 50-day EMA around $1.13, followed by the 100-day EMA near $1.22 and the horizontal barrier at $1.30; beyond that, the 200-day EMA at $1.42 and the $1.90 level mark more distant caps.

On the downside, the next notable support aligns with the psychological and structural floor at $1.00, where buyers would be expected to defend the broader uptrend unless a deeper correction unfolds.

Coinbase Chief Policy Officer Praises Crypto Clarity Act as “Extraordinarily Bipartisan
 

Coinbase’s Chief Policy Officer, Faryar Shirzad, struck an optimistic tone regarding the long-awaited Clarity Act on Monday, claiming there was bipartisan support for the bill in its current form.  

Speaking to Fox Business Monday, Shirzad said it was time for Democrats and Republicans to unite on the Clarity Act — and added that a vote could come as soon as next week. 

“This bill is an extraordinarily bipartisan piece of work,” he said. “It’s ready for final action. We’re very excited it’s going to get done.”

Lawmakers have been mulling over the Clarity Act since last year, which would set in stone crypto regulation. 

A new draft started circulating last week which bans officials and their families from issuing or promoting crypto — something opposition lawmakers previously had issue with. 

But some Democrats are still unhappy with the bill in its current form. A group of Democrats last week said in a statement that the bill in its current form falls short. 

The bill has been in a deadlock this year, partially because banking chiefs raised concerns over stablecoin yield and ethics concerns. 

Banking lobbyists have said that if crypto exchanges pay attractive yields to customers, banks could lose their deposit base. 

“The irony of the situation we’re facing with the banking lobby in Washington is that all the banks are actually moving quickly to adopt crypto and stablecoin in their own systems,” he continued. 

“I think the adoption by the banks tells you that as much as the lobbyists in Washington are resisting change, the long-term plan for the banks at the top is to adopt the technology, and it’ll be a win-win outcome.”

Top U.S. banks — including JP Morgan and Bank of America — have expressed interest or already started debuting stablecoin products, which run on blockchain technology.
