Ripple-promoted XRP is once again attracting attention across the cryptosphere as expectations build around its role in the next evolution of decentralized finance (DeFi). 

With growing momentum in DeFi innovation, one expert believes XRP could emerge as a key driver in the sector’s next major adoption wave, potentially reshaping how value moves across blockchain networks.
In a post on X, popular XRPL validator Vet noted that traditional decentralized finance still has “a long way to go” before it can realistically usurp traditional finance. However, he also suggested that XRP is well positioned to play a key role in enabling a more sustainable transition by bridging the gap between conventional financial systems and the emerging decentralized economy.

In his view, XRP’s underlying protocol is uniquely designed for high-value financial applications, making it especially well-suited for use cases that aim to rival the core infrastructure of traditional finance (TradFi) in terms of efficiency and scalability.
Vet suggests that while many in the market may not be ready for what’s coming, the shift is inevitable—driven by XRP’s superior and more robust protocol design. Built to handle high-value use cases at scale, the pundit believes the XRPL is uniquely positioned to power a new era in which DeFi doesn’t just compete with traditional finance but begins to replace it.

As the broader market begins to recover, Stellar [XLM] has jumped over 8% and opened the door for further gains.

Core Scientific is preparing a $3.3 billion debt offering as it accelerates its transition from bitcoin mining to high-performance computing infrastructure.

The Nasdaq-listed company said in a statement that its subsidiary, Core Scientific Finance I LLC, plans to issue senior secured notes due 2031. This private placement will be aimed at institutional investors, subject to market conditions.

Proceeds from the deal will be used primarily to strengthen the company’s balance sheet. A portion will fund a debt service reserve, while the remainder will be distributed to the parent company to repay outstanding borrowings under a short-term credit facility, including interest and related costs.

The notes will be backed by a broad pool of assets. These include first-priority claims on substantially all assets of the issuing entity and its key subsidiaries, as well as equity interests and selected holdings of Core Scientific itself. Several operating units, including facilities in Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, and Oklahoma, will guarantee the debt.

Core Scientific also committed to support the buildout of data center projects tied to those locations. Under a completion guarantee, the company will provide additional funding if needed to ensure the projects are finished on schedule.
