Cardano Is Already Running Behind 200 German Companies, Foundation CEO Says


Cardano is already being used by roughly 200 large companies in Germany through agentic AI deployments, even if those firms do not realize the blockchain is sitting underneath their stack, according to Cardano Foundation CEO Frederik Gregaard. The claim, made during an interview with Jane King on GBBC’s Markets on Chain series from the New York Stock Exchange published April 16, points to a version of blockchain adoption that is less visible to end users but potentially more embedded in enterprise infrastructure.

200 German Companies Use Cardano Without Even Knowing It

Gregaard framed the Cardano Foundation’s role as pushing blockchain into systems people use without necessarily recognizing it. “We have about 200 companies in Germany who live on agentic AI, fairly large companies, and they don’t even know they’re using Cardano as a security layer, as a digital identity layer and as an accountability layer,” he said. “Part of when you have, for instance, agentic AI who’s using data from two different databases, [is] ensuring that the agentic AI is who they say they are, that they have the data they claim without disclosing it, because we want privacy.”

That argument was central to Gregaard’s broader pitch: blockchain, in his view, is becoming an underlying trust and coordination layer for AI-driven systems rather than simply a rails story for tokens or payments. He described a model where users could interact with seamless consumer applications while Cardano handles provenance, identity and compliance in the background. The point was less about visible crypto branding than about infrastructure-level deployment.

RWA Foundation Sees Trillions in Assets Moving Onchain as Tokenization Grows



The conversation around real-world assets, or RWAs, got another boost today after the RWA Foundation argued that tokenization is moving from theory to infrastructure. In a post on X, the group said trillions of dollars in value from stocks, real estate, private credit, bonds, collectibles and commodities are being rebuilt on faster and more efficient rails, with the market still “barely getting started.”

The message was simple but bold: crypto is no longer just adding RWAs on the margins, it is starting to absorb the plumbing of traditional finance itself. At the heart of the post was a familiar promise that has become harder to dismiss. Tokenization, RWA Foundation said, is replacing limited access with global access, T+2 settlement with near-instant settlement, opaque structures with onchain transparency, and illiquid markets with programmable liquidity.

According to data, the tokenized asset sector continues to expand, with distributed asset value rising to $29.92 billion, up 9.64% over the past 30 days. Represented asset value now stands at $357.47 billion, while total asset holders have climbed to 728,287, up 4.84% from a month ago. The broader stablecoin market also remains massive, with total stablecoin value at $302.62 billion and 244.39 million stablecoin holders, both posting modest monthly growth. Ethereum remains the largest venue by a wide margin, with $15.5 billion in tracked RWA value, according to the data.

Global financial giant UBS has published a noteworthy assessment of US monetary policy. The bank stated that it maintains its expectation that the Fed will cut interest rates later in the year.

A research note published by UBS emphasized that the Fed remains on a path of monetary policy easing under the current outlook. The report highlighted that Fed Chairman Jerome Powell has recently indicated that the need for tightening is limited despite the rise in energy prices. It recalled Powell’s statement that supply shocks, particularly those like rising oil prices, are generally ignored as long as inflation expectations remain under control.

UBS analysts stated that the Fed is looking for more evidence of a sustained decline in core inflation before returning to loose monetary policy, but they still expect a total of 50 basis points of interest rate cuts by the end of the year.

On the other hand, the report also included projections for the US bond market. UBS pointed out that current US Treasury yields are significantly higher than before the geopolitical tensions, arguing that there is therefore room for downward movement in yields. The bank stated its year-end forecast for the 2-year US Treasury yield is 3.25%, and for the 10-year Treasury yield is 3.75%.

Bitcoin investors are suddenly confronting an uncomfortable math problem inside the $91.7 billion U.S. spot bitcoin ETF market.

"Coinbase Custody holds 84% of all US spot Bitcoin ETF assets," Marc Baumann, founder of research firm fiftyonexyz, posted on X on April 14. "That's $77 billion with a single custodian. For an industry built on decentralization, the most important product category has a single point of failure. Regulators will notice."

The warning is landing as bitcoin trades near $77,000, having clawed back from a 40% drawdown since its late-2025 peak around $126,000. It also lands three weeks after the April 2 conditional approval of a national trust charter for Coinbase by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency. "OCC grants Coinbase conditional approval for a National Trust Bank Charter," Swiss law firm Goldblum & Partners posted on X on April 13, noting that "11 crypto firms now in the federal banking pipeline" and that a new rule, 12 CFR 5.20, "explicitly permits non-fiduciary crypto custody for national trust banks." That regulatory blessing, in a twist, deepens the concentration analysts are now calling out.

The figure itself has become the new rallying cry of bitcoin's structural skeptics. CryptoSlate first framed the dollar number on April 12 as "over 80% of Bitcoin ETF assets hit Coinbase custody choke point with $74B at risk." Within 48 hours, the phrasing was circulating through crypto-media accounts and analyst threads.

"Over 80% of Bitcoin ETF assets now sit inside Coinbase custody. That’s roughly $74B concentrated in one infrastructure layer," wrote crypto-media account W3BCMedia on April 13. Institutional adoption was growing, the account added, "but so is systemic custody risk.

Ether is also showing resilience, holding firmly above its short-term support near $2,235. Continued strength above the $2,415 resistance level could drive the price toward $2,800 and eventually $3,050. This would confirm a broader recovery structure, but a sharp rejection could still invalidate the bullish outlook in the short term.

XRP has started to regain momentum after reclaiming its 50-day moving average. With improving RSI and upward pressure building, the price may attempt to challenge the descending resistance trendline. A successful breakout could indicate a shift in trend, while failure may lead to a retest of lower support levels around $1.27.

BNB is showing signs of reduced selling pressure after moving above key averages. If buyers maintain control, the price may push toward $687, and a breakout above that level could extend the rally toward $730 and $790. On the downside, failure to hold current levels could keep the price ranging between $570
