The euro has been under pressure since February, when the conflict began disrupting flows through the key chokepoint, reflecting Europe's heavy reliance on oil imports.. The fragile US-Iran truce remains conditional, with Tehran stressing that any easing of tensions comes with strict terms and that a full return to normal shipping through the Strait of Hormuz will take time. Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump warned of a major escalation in fighting if Tehran failed to comply. Despite the ceasefire, oil prices remain about 40% above pre-conflict levels, raising concerns that an inflationary surge will soon be reflected in economic data. Technical signals are bearish as RSI is heading down at 23, daily momentum studies 5, 9 and 1 DMAS are trending down. Immediate resistance is located at 1.6222(38.2%fib), any close above will push the pair towards 1.6242 (Higher BB).. Bitcoin pulled back to $71,843 after its third attempt to break above $73,000 on Thursday ended in a sell-off. Despite the setback, the leading cryptocurrency posted its strongest weekly performance since the start of the Iran conflict, gaining 7.9%. Ethereum remained largely unchanged at $2,189.

All top-10 cryptocurrencies are in the green on the weekly chart for the first time in over a month.
Ethereum is trading near $2,189, up 6.6% for the week.
The Fear and Greed Index stands at 16 (Extreme Fear) but is slowly increasing
Performance of major assets
According to CoinDesk, over the past week, Bitcoin rose 7.9%, Ethereum gained 6.6%, Solana added 5.1% to trade at $83.09, XRP increased 2.8% to $1.34, and Dogecoin rose 2.4% to $0.092. For the first time in more than a month, all assets in the top 10 cryptocurrencies are in the green on the weekly chart.



However, the $73,000 level continues to act as strong resistance. Since the ceasefire announcement on Tuesday, Bitcoin has tested this level three times, only to see each rally quickly fade. The price is now trading in a narrow range between $70,000 and $73,000 — roughly $5,000 higher than before the truce.

Analysts note that for a confirmed bullish reversal, Bitcoin needs to decisively break through at least $74,000–$75,000.
