Goldman Sachs is taking a very different approach to Bitcoin exposure.
Instead of launching a standard spot BTC ETF, the bank is planning an actively managed fund designed for income-focused investors. The strategy uses covered call options on Bitcoin-linked ETPs to generate yield, even if it means giving up part of Bitcoin’s upside potential.
In some cases, the fund may even “overwrite” up to 100% of BTC exposure, effectively trading explosive rally potential for more stable income generation.
This signals a shift in how traditional finance views Bitcoin — not just as a growth asset, but also as a tool for structured yield strategies aimed at advisory and wealth portfolios.

The result: a country where crypto never quite caught on the way it did elsewhere in Europe. A new staff paper from Danmarks Nationalbank puts a number on it. Just 4% of Danish citizens currently hold cryptocurrency — a figure that hasn’t moved since 2023, even as ownership climbed across much of the continent.Norway, Finland, and the United Kingdom each report more than 10% of their populations holding crypto assets, according to the central bank’s findings. White House exposes stablecoin yield ban wouldn't help banks, raising the stakes for CLARITY in the Senate The report's own projections show the ban barely nudges bank lending while putting stablecoin innovation and consumer yields on the line.

A recent White House economic study has changed the focus of Washington's debate over the CLARITY Act. The report addresses the main issue slowing the bill in the Senate: whether limiting stablecoin yields actually protects the banking system.

The study's findings are central to ongoing talks. After reviewing recent data on stablecoin activity, consumer habits, and bank liquidity, it found little proof that stablecoin yield products currently threaten bank lending or deposits.

Instead, the report said that banning yields would mostly limit consumers' ability to earn returns on digital cash, while offering little or no real benefit to the stability of traditional funding.

This puts more pressure on those who support strict limits, especially since negotiations are already at a difficult stage.
