Robinson had been rushed there after hotel staff found her unresponsive in her room the day before. Based on reports from NBC News and CBS News, police have ruled her death a suicide - but they are holding McCann's passport while they await the results of a formal autopsy. The couple had been staying at the same hotel when a dispute arose between them. Officials said the two were separated and moved to different rooms following what police described as a "misunderstanding."

According to the family, Robinson had recently celebrated her 31st birthday and her engagement to McCann both of which had happened just days before her death. Endres described her sister as happy at the time. Robinson, who went by the name Ashlee Jenae on social media, posted her last photo April 5, showing her feeding a giraffe while she celebrated her birthday. The family's challenge to the police ruling adds another layer of uncertainty to a case that is already far from closed.

The line captures the strange reality of contemporary politics: news is often most effectively disseminated not through journalism but humour, memes and entertainment.Since late February, pro-Iranian media groups most notably, the X account Explosive Media have flooded social media with Al-generated video content mocking Donald Trump, Benjamin Netanyahu and US foreign policy. It has been dubbed "slopaganda" but the sophistication is striking. These videos contain disinformation and antisemitic tropes but do not look or feel like state propaganda despite the spokesperson for Explosive Media admitting to the BBC that the Iranian government is a client. They capture the internet zeitgeist: fast, funny, visually familiar and designed for virality. Trojan horses The success of these memes lies in their audience strategy. They do not target people actively seeking news. Instead, they mimic the language of everyday internet culture to reach those who are not following events in the Middle East at all. Humour is the mechanism they use to get reach. These videos function as Trojan horses, drawing viewers in with recognisable imagery, references and music - while communicating a narrative about American overreach, dysfunction and corruption. As Emerson Brooking, a US-based expert in disinformation, notes, this kind of content reaches "politically uninvested people who otherwise wouldn't have engaged with war-related content".

SEC charges Bitcoin Latinum founder over alleged $16M investor fraud

The US SEC brought enforcement action against Donald G. Basile and his companies, GIBF GP, Inc. and Monsoon Blockchain Corporation, over a $16 million crypto securities offering tied to Bitcoin Latinum (LTNM), which Basile launched in 2020.

According to the SEC, Basile, through GIBF and Monsoon, sold Simple Agreements for Future Tokens (SAFTs), promising future delivery of a token called Bitcoin Latinum, which ultimately failed.

Regulators claim Basile misrepresented key aspects of the project, including nonexistent insurance coverage, false claims of asset backing, and misleading statements about how investor funds would be used to support the token ecosystem.

The SEC also alleges that rather than using investor funds as promised, the entrepreneur misappropriated millions for personal uses, including real estate purchases, credit card payments, and a high-value horse.

The project ultimately failed. LTNM was never properly launched or listed on major exchanges, activity ceased, and the token became worthless, leaving investors with major losses.

The SEC charges GIBF and Monsoon with violating the anti-fraud provisions of federal securities laws and that Basile is directly liable as well as responsible for aiding the violations.

The SEC is seeking permanent injunctions, repayment of ill-gotten gains with interest, civil penalties, and a ban preventing Basile from serving as an officer or director of a public company, along with other equitable remedies.

On April 17, Bittensor ($TAO) price witnessed an upward momentum with a surge of 7% on a daily chart following a rally in the Bitcoin ($BTC) price, but failed to hold its position and faced a quick correction on the daily chart.

On Friday, the overall crypto market sparked a bullish sentiment in the market, which helped most altcoins to gain a spike. The main reason behind the rally in the crypto market is the major development in peace talks between the U.S. and Iran. Apart from this, recently, artificial intelligence-related tokens have also attracted the attention of investors due to their real utility.

At the time of writing, Bittensor ($TAO) is trading at around $252.30 with a market capitalization of around $2.82 billion, according to CoinMarketCap. The daily trading volume also jumped by 37% in the last 24 hours and is currently revolving around $396.22 million.

According to the current price chart, the surge in the cryptocurrency came after a bounce from a major Fibonacci support level. This bounce was also supported by a 41% surge in trading volume.
