Gold prices gain on Iran optimism despite India import issues, silver producers see strong output in 2026 

Gold prices are benefiting from renewed optimism surrounding the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, while India's tax laws are complicating imports for the second-largest gold consumer, and silver output is up sharply from 2025 levels among major producers, according to precious metals analysts at Heraeus.

In their latest update, the analysts wrote that last week’s de-escalation talks between Iran and the United States helped to boost gold and equities as they drove oil prices lower.

$XRP price prediction 2026 is starting to look more optimistic as regulatory progress, whale accumulation, and improving technical signals converge to boost trader sentiment.

Most notably, the market is closely watching the upcoming review of the CLARITY Act by the U.S. Senate Banking Committee on May 14, with the legislation expected to reduce compliance for exchange-traded fund (ETF) providers.

On-chain data also shows that whales have reportedly acquired around 4.09 billion $XRP tokens since October 2025, currently valued at roughly $5.6 billion. As a result, large investors now control an estimated 32% of the circulating supply.

Ripple raises $200 million from Neuberger Berman to expand its Ripple Prime platform





Ripple’s prime-brokerage unit announced Monday it closed a $200 million funding agreement with global investment firm Neuberger Berman to expand the margin it offers investors to trade in traditional and digital asset markets.

In its announcement, Ripple also said the funding will help support the ongoing growth of its multi-asset prime brokerage platform, Ripple Prime, citing increasing client demand for its institutional-grade services and margin financing solutions.

The crypto firm said that since it acquired Hidden Road and rebranded it as Ripple Prime in 2025, this platform’s revenue has tripled year over year. Neuberger Berman has approximately $570 billion in total assets under management (AUM).

Ripple acquired prime-brokerage Hidden Road for $1.25 billion, one of the largest deals in the history of the cryptocurrency industry. The company later agreed to buy treasury-management software provider GTreasury for $1 billion.

a16z crypto led the round with a $75 million commitment, according to CNBC. BlackRock, Apollo Funds, Intercontinental Exchange, SBI Group, Janus Henderson Investors, Standard Chartered Ventures, General Catalyst, Marshall Wace, ARK Invest, IDG Capital, Haun Ventures, and Bullish completed a roughly dozen-strong investor syndicate.

The Arc announcement arrived alongside Circle's first quarter 2026 results. Per the update, total revenue and reserve income reached $694 million, up 20% year-over-year, as USDC in circulation grew 28% to $77 billion at quarter's end.

Onchain USDC transaction volume hit $21.5 trillion for the quarter, a 263% jump from the prior year, while adjusted EBITDA rose 24% to $151 million. Net income from continuing operations fell 15% to $55 million, as operating expenses surged 76% — primarily from post-IPO stock-based compensation and related payroll taxes.

Circle's Payments Network generated $8.3 billion in annualized transaction volume as of March 31.
