BitMine Immersion Technologies hit a major milestone on Wall Street today, marking a big start to Q2.

On Thursday, the firm was uplisted to the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) from the 'smaller' NYSE American. In a statement, Tom Lee, Chairman of the world's largest Ethereum treasury said that being uplisted to the "big board" is a "major milestone." He added,

"The NYSE is the most prestigious venerable stock exchange with a storied history."

This could increase the firm's visibility and, by extension, its trading volume.

Additionally, the firm's board approved the overhaul of its share buyback from 2025's $1 billion to $4 billion. Commenting on the massive buyback cash, Lee claimed,

Bitmine's expanded $4 billion buyback reflects our commitment to shareholders. There may be a time in the future when Bitmine shares are trading below intrinsic value, and the Company wants to be in a position to accretively retire common shares.

This means that the firm could actively begin its share buyback if the mNAV (market-to-Net Asset Value) falls below 1. In other words, when its share trades at a discount to its ETH holdings, then the buyback will be initiated.

Avalanche transactions hit a 2026 high of 3.5 mln: Can AVAX reach $10 again?

Avalanche has experienced a massive surge in on-chain activity and network usage. According to Nansen, Avalanche’s daily transactions have surged to 3.5 million, the highest level in the past year.

Such a massive jump in transactions indicated growing network usage. Over this period, the network’s active addresses went from 100K for most of 2025 to a new floor of 500K to 700K.

Nansen noted three major factors that primarily drove this network growth. Firstly, Grayscale launched GAVA, an $AVAX staking ETF on Nasdaq, creating a link for institutional investors.

Secondly, the SEC and CFTC classified $AVAX as a digital commodity, thus bringing regulatory clarity. Finally, Broadridge brought proxy voting on-chain, allowing on-chain building.

When active addresses and transactions rise in tandem, it suggests strengthening fundamentals through real usage rather than speculation.

In fact, the network has seen a surge in real users, as evidenced by the Sybil and Non-Sybil metrics. This metric showed that non-Sybil users have climbed from 5k to 49k over the past four months.

Therefore, network growth is driven by actual, unique users, while bot activity declines significantly. Traditionally, increased network activity has supported price growth.

Headline CPI rose 0.9% on the month, driven by a roughly 10.9% surge in energy costs tied to the ongoing Middle East conflict, keeping annual inflation at 3.3%. Core CPI came in at 2.6% year-on-year, slightly below the 2.7% economists had forecast.

Soft Core Print Gives Bitcoin Bulls a Brief Opening

The below-forecast reading gave crypto traders a short-lived reason to add exposure. Bitcoin rose in the minutes following the release, with FXLeaders noting that $BTC “reclaimed $72,000 as macro fears fuel appetite for digital scarcity.” The move was measured rather than explosive, reflecting a market still navigating sticky headline inflation against a softer underlying trend. As crypto.news noted, the inflation print “came in line with expectations” at the headline level, easing fears of an even hotter surprise while confirming that price pressures remain elevated but stable.

The distinction matters for traders. A softer core number reduces the probability of an aggressive Fed pivot toward tightening. But with annual headline CPI running at 3.3%, the highest reading since May 2025, the Fed has little political or economic space to move toward cuts.
