raised concerns about whether Warsh would keep the central bank independent from the White House. Trump has repeatedly pushed for lower interest rates, while inflation remains above the Fed's 2% target. Warsh previously served as a Fed governor from 2006 to 2011. He also faced questions over his financial disclosures and possible conflicts tied to private investments.
Crypto.news reported in April that his filings showed exposure to more than 20 blockchain and digital asset companies through venture fund structures. Meanwhile, Earlier reports said Warsh's crypto-linked holdings included indirect exposure to Solana, dYdX, Polymarket, Dapper Labs, Optimism and Lightning Network infrastructure. Crypto.news also noted that Warsh pledged to divest affected assets after confirmation to meet Fed ethics rules.

Strategy’s STRC stock logs record $1.5 billion trading volume, funds 11,707 bitcoin purchase

Stretch (STRC), the perpetual preferred stock issued by Strategy (MSTR), the world’s largest public corporate holder of bitcoin , recorded $1.53 billion in trading volume on Thursday, the most on record.

According to BitcoinQuant, the surge helped fund the purchase of some 11,707 bitcoin through the company’s at-the-market (ATM) program, which allows Strategy to sell newly issued shares to raise capital for additional bitcoin purchases.

Most STRC shares traded at or above their $100 par value. Thursday’s trading activity was more than four times the average daily volume over the past 30 days, which stood at roughly $331 million. STRC currently offers an 11.5% annual dividend, paid monthly in cash.

Trading volume in dividend-paying securities often peaks on the session before the ex-dividend date, the cutoff date after which new buyers are no longer eligible to receive the upcoming dividend payment.

With Friday marking STRC’s ex-dividend date, the preferred shares fell to $99.12 in pre-market trading, down nearly 1%, a typical move as dividend-paying shares often decline by roughly the amount of the payout once they begin trading ex-dividend.

Bitcoin, meanwhile, slipped to $80,500, sending MSTR common stock down 2% in pre-market trading.

The T3 Financial Crime Unit, a joint initiative backed by Tether, TRON, and blockchain analytics firm TRM Labs, has crossed $450 million in frozen assets linked to suspected criminal activity. The milestone was announced by Tether on Thursday, less than two years after the unit launched in 2024.T3 FCU focuses on $USDT activity on the TRON blockchain, where Tether’s dominant stablecoin circulates at scale. The unit has executed asset freezes within 24 hours of requests from global authorities, including during active kidnapping and extortion emergencies.T3 FCU reported intercepting 43.9% more illicit proceeds in 2025 than the previous year. It has worked with law enforcement across 23 jurisdictions, including the United States, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, and Bulgaria.
“This $450 million milestone is just the beginning of what T3 is capable of, as its impact will only continue to grow in scale and importance,” Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino said.
