The filing shows Tether holds about 1.95 million shares through related entities. It also states that Giancarlo Devasini, Tether’s chairman, shares voting and dispositive power over the stake. The document adds that Tether and its related entities may raise or reduce their holdings over time based on market conditions and other factors. The company works closely with Bitmain, one of the largest suppliers of crypto mining hardware, and provides loans secured by bitcoin and mining machines to support equipment purchases and operating costs. The company raised about $49.3 million in its 2025 IPO at $12.80 per share. Tether had earlier signaled interest in buying as much as $25 million in stock. Antalpha later reported 2025 revenue of $79.7 million, up 68% from a year earlier, while net income rose to $18.5 million, more than three times the prior year level. At the same time, the total assets under management (AuM) merged to $155B, with flows underscoring 0.91% of AuM. This accounts for the highest 7-day intensity year-to-date.

Protected From Taxation, Stablecoin Use Cases Keep Growing in Brazil

Stablecoin adoption continues to advance in Brazil, where companies not directly linked to the crypto niche are also implementing use cases that include these dollar-pegged payment elements.

According to Carlos Russo, CEO of blockchain infrastructure provider Bloquo, stablecoins have risen as an effective way of expediting B2B settlements. Talking to Valor Economico, he stated:

“The market today is super healthy. Companies like ours operate mainly in B2B. We serve banks, brokerages, and other companies that want to exchange currency for stablecoins.”
Russo highlighted that most international travel agencies in Brazil now leverage stablecoins. Also, the executive mentioned foreign settlements with Bolivia as another use case for stablecoins. “There are no dollars in Bolivia. Stablecoins have become the solution,” he stressed.

Stablecoins, which have reached trading volumes of over 29.4 billion reais (nearly $6 billion) during December, have an advantage over standard fiat transactions. While the latter have to pay a financial transaction tax, stablecoins can be transacted freely.

Tehran is fighting a new price signal in public

Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf chose a strange phrase for a dangerous moment. In the middle of a live crisis around the Strait of Hormuz, Iran’s parliament speaker mocked “vibe-trading digital oil” and took a swipe at US Treasuries as well, turning a market argument into part of a wartime message campaign.

The immediate surface read is easy enough. A senior Iranian official wanted to ridicule speculative pricing and frame physical oil as the real thing.

The deeper significance sits somewhere else. A state actor in the middle of a regional conflict is now speaking directly to the way risk is being priced on crypto-native rails.

That shift deserves more attention than the phrasing itself. Oil has always carried military weight, inflation risk, and political leverage.

What changed over the past several weeks is the venue through which some of that risk gets expressed first. As CryptoSlate documented in late March, the market for 24/7 oil exposure accelerated as geopolitical shocks kept landing outside the operating hours of traditional exchanges.

The world does not pause on weekends, so traders increasingly want a venue that stays open when the old infrastructure is dark.

The Iran angle carries more force than a generic crossover between geopolitics and crypto. Tehran is no longer talking about crypto as a sanctions story, a payments workaround, or a symbolic side channel.

It is reacting to a market function. When a public official in a war zone starts arguing about “digital oil,” the implication is that these synthetic and crypto-linked instruments have become visible enough to enter the information battle around price itself.
