Bitcoin Policy UK CEO Says Britain Must Rethink How It Regulates Bitcoin
As institutional adoption grows and governments refine digital asset rules, Bitcoin is entering a new phase. 

In the UK, that shift is colliding with long-running questions around media narratives, access, regulation, privacy, and financial innovation.

In an interview with CCN, Bitcoin Policy UK CEO Susie Violet Ward said the country still misunderstands Bitcoin at a basic level. In her view, that gap affects everything from media coverage to market access and public policy.

Ward argued that Bitcoin should not be treated as just another crypto asset. 

She said policymakers, regulators, and journalists need to understand its distinct structure, use cases, and long-term relevance if the U.K. wants to stay competitive.

Currently trading in the mid-$30 range, the asset is falling below important short-term momentum levels, as derivatives activity declines.

$HYPE losing steam

In terms of performance, the token has decreased by more than 13% over the course of a week, with a decline of about 5% over the course of a day. Derivatives volume has also drastically decreased, with some venues reporting drops of more than 60%, suggesting a significant decrease in speculative activity. This is consistent with a more general slowdown in perpetual futures activity, which is essential to Hyperliquid's ecosystem as a fast on-chain derivatives exchange.

The bearish tilt is reinforced by flow data. Over a number of time periods, futures netflows have become significantly negative, with short-term intervals exhibiting ongoing outflows and a cumulative imbalance that essentially eliminates earlier inflows.

Tokenization—combining traditional financial assets with blockchain technology—is one of the hottest trends in the crypto world. The sector is expected to grow dramatically, potentially reaching $19 trillion by 2033.
At the EthCC conference in Cannes, France, Grayscale research head Zach Pandl shared his perspective on the market. He noted that tokenization is still in its very early stages, with a current market value of just $27 billion—only 0.01% of global capital markets.
Pandl emphasized that investors should view tokenization as a long-term path to profit, rather than a one-time investment opportunity. He also highlighted that major banks and asset managers are already aware of the potential, alongside the growing role of stablecoins.
According to Pandl, tokenization will unfold in phases, with different winners at each stage. In the first phase, institution-focused and permissioned networks—similar to today’s financial system—will take the lead. These networks address practical needs like privacy, identity verification, and control. An early example of a winner is Canton Network, backed by Wall Street giants DRW, Goldman Sachs, and Nasdaq.
In the second phase, hybrid models may dominate, where institutions connect their own blockchains with global networks. A prime example is Avalanche, which integrates hundreds of independent, corporately-owned networks into a unified ecosystem.
Overall, tokenization promises to be a long-term transformation of the financial world, with different platforms and approaches emerging as leaders at different stages of adoption.

The 'time pain' trap: why bitcoin’s bear market might need a few more months of ‘boring’ to hit a true floor

The two things most cryptocurrency investors are pondering are how much lower can bitcoin go and how much longer this bear market could last.

The price pain aspect has been discussed widely, but the time-based dimension is another question in itself.

Price pain refers to sharp drawdowns or volatility that force participants out of positions, while time pain reflects slow, range-bound conditions that exhaust both bulls and bears through lack of direction.

Bitcoin is currently trading below $66,000, down over 3% in the past 24 hours and roughly 45% below its October all-time high, an almost six-month bear market.

One indicator pointing toward continued time pain is the Realized Cap HODL Waves from Glassnode. This metric groups bitcoin supply by the last time coins moved, with each band representing different holding periods, and weights them by realized price, the average price at which coins last transacted on chain.

Historically, bear market bottoms have coincided with long-term holders, those holding for six months or more, controlling at least 85% of supply. Typically, price bottoms form first, and only several months later does long-term holder supply approach these high levels, indicating these investors bought at depressed prices and held through the bear market.

Currently, long term holders account for about 80% of supply. If this trend continues, the market may be nearing a bottoming phase, though several months of consolidation are likely still ahead.

US Giant Company Announces Added Support for Three Major Altcoins! SEC Had Warned!

The recent headlines in the cryptocurrency market have been dominated by the US-Iran war and the volatility experienced by Bitcoin and altcoins.

While everyone was hoping for the war to end and the resulting uncertainty to disappear as soon as possible, negative developments quietly occurred for three altcoins.

Accordingly, Volatility Shares launched 2x leveraged ETFs for $ADA, $XLM, and $LINK.

US-based fund manager Volatility Shares announced the launch of a 2x leveraged ETF based on Cardano ($ADA), Stellar ($XLM), and Chainlink ($LINK). This launch strengthens the firm’s portfolio of cryptocurrency exchange-traded products in the US.

These ETFs are designed to track twice the price movement of their respective assets. In addition to these products, the company has also launched standard futures-based ETFs for the same three assets.

Volatility Shares had previously launched leveraged ETFs for Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and XRP.

Volatility Shares analyst Sunny Sun said, “This ETF launch signals a shift from broad market risk exposure to asset-specific strategies. These primarily target professional investors seeking investments concentrated in specific crypto ecosystems.”

Volatility Shares is launching leveraged ETFs for three popular altcoins, while the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) maintains a cautious stance regarding highly leveraged assets.

The SEC recently urged issuers to avoid launching 5x leveraged ETFs, expressing concerns about the risks associated with 3x products.
