XRP Price Forecast: Analysts Believe Bullish Structure Will Maintain

XRP fell below $1.46 over the weekend, a level analysts consider crucial for the token's trendline in late April. While this move wasn't entirely unexpected on the charts, the catalyst was geopolitical rather than technical factors.

The key support level to watch now is $1.41. Analysts believe that as long as XRP holds this level, its overall bullish structure will remain intact. Below this level is $1.37, the 30-day volume-weighted average price (VWAP), which could come into play should genuine negative news emerge. Under current circumstances, XRP is unlikely to fall back to $1.31.

After $293M KelpDAO Exploit, Analyst Says Best Outcome Is a 10 to 15% Bounty Deal With Hacker
A major exploit at KelpDAO led to ~$293M losses, triggered by suspicious cross-chain rsETH activity, forcing contract pauses across Ethereum and multiple Layer 2 networks.

Biggest systemic risk is to WETH—any losses could cascade across DeFi platforms, though Aave is expected to remain resilient after freezing rsETH and WETH usage as a precaution.

A major exploit at KelpDAO has rattled the DeFi market, with losses estimated at nearly $293 million, making it one of the year’s biggest incidents. The issue was first flagged after “suspicious cross-chain activity involving rsETH,” prompting the team to pause contracts across the Ethereum mainnet and multiple Layer 2 networks.

The protocol, which allows users to restake assets like stETH or cbETH in exchange for rsETH, quickly became the center of a broader ecosystem concern as multiple platforms were exposed.

Ripple races to make XRP Ledger quantum-ready as computing threat turns ‘credible’
The company unveiled a roadmap to prepare the XRP Ledger for “a post-quantum future” by 2028.

The move follows concerns that quantum computing could eventually be capable of breaking cryptography, essentially putting people’s funds at risk.
Ripple said it's targeting to have the XRP Ledger quantum-ready by 2028.

The company said that even though assets are not at risk presently, "the threat has moved from theoretical to credible, and preparation timelines now matter."

Researchers at Google Quantum AI recently triggered a fresh round of debate with a new paper. Ripple's plans to prepare the XRP Ledger for potential advancements in quantum computing come amid concerns that technological leaps in the area could one day put the cryptography securing digital assets safe at risk.

"There's a more subtle risk too, one researchers call 'harvest now, decrypt later.' In simple terms, bad actors can collect publicly visible cryptographic data from the blockchain today and hold onto it, waiting for quantum hardware to mature enough to crack it and access the assets behind it," Ripple said in Monday's announcement. 

"The findings don’t point to an immediate break," the company added. "But they do make it clear that systems securing long-lived value need to start planning for a post-quantum transition."

While some industry leaders are in agreement with the severity of the risks posed by quantum computing, others, like Strategy's Michael Saylor, have downplayed the threat. Bernstein called quantum risk a "manageable upgrade cycle."

Last week, Tron founder Justin Sun said the blockchain he helped build is also taking steps to head off future technical threats posed by quantum computing.

Over the weekend, the crypto market woke up to news regarding the exploit of the KelpDAO protocol. A $293 million exploit of Kelp’s bridge allowed attackers to use stolen rsETH, a liquid restaking token widely used in DeFi, as collateral to borrow funds on lending platforms, sparking concerns from the broader crypto market.

The attacker stole about 116,500 rsETH, a token issued by Kelp DAO that represents "restaked" Ethereum by targeting a bridge built using LayerZero, a system that allows different blockchains to communicate. The total losses are estimated at roughly $293 million, making it the largest DeFi exploit of 2026.
